Such a nice couple. Loved them in Unbeatable. I also like Tang Yan with Roy combination in modern dramas. She is a very good actress. I am so glad spcnet.tv is working again. I could not connect to this website a few days ago. I thought I might lost my Hu Ge English forum link......

now that I think about it I feel that alot of the chinese actors n actress seems to get along more with other actors/actress who are from the same region like LSS n YM both from beijing get along really good, HG n TY from shanghai get along good and eddie and peter get along fine since both from taiwan... but im probably thinking too much...

Are most of the filming done in Shanghai, is that where Hu Ge/ Tang Yan is based too? Just wondering which cities are the big media company based in? I have never been to China and I am based in London. I am very interested in the growing modern Chinese culture. I will love to visit the country one day. If I can bumped into Hu Ge, that will be prefect.... Dreamer....

This may be considered sacrilege but I'm actually cooing over the baby duck rather than Hu Ge.

You and me both, lol. I spent a month in Shanghai this summer (well, technically last now but y'know how school years go...) and failed to bump into him. Even though I was in the nice PuDong area most of the time.

Same for Prince Harry when I was in London.

Most modern dramas are done in the major cities aka Beijing/Shanghai, and most companies are also based in the big cities (e.g. Hu Ge's company ‘TangRen’ is based in Shanghai, and Tang Yan's company 'Orange Sky Entertainment' is based in Beijing). Filming for ancient dramas are mostly done in the filming studios at Hengdian, XiangShan etc., and other scenery filming takes place in 'countryside' places (e.g. Dunhuang, in NW Gansu, Western China).

What is his next project? I personally hope that it is Da Mo Yao, although it can also be for something we don't know about. Just keep on guessing.

Why are a lot of Chinese dramas dubbed? In Unbeatable, I really enjoyed listening to the original voice of the cast. But it cannot be said for other dramas. Does Hu Ge has a substitute voiceover too?

A lot of mainland dramas (especially ancient ones) are dubbed to cover the original actors' accents. It also helps in a way too, since there are lots of background noises going on in the filming (thus in modern dramas, to capture the actors' own voices, the scene needs to be very quiet). Eversince Tian Wai Fei Xian 2005, Hu Ge has dubbed his own voice for dramas and movies (trailers included). Although sometimes if the dubbing doesn't fit in his schedule, a professional dubber e.g. Shen Lei (who dubbed Li Xiao Yao in Chinese Paladin), will dub for him (example: Yuwen Tuo/Jian Chi in the 1st Xuan Yuan Sword trailer).

XiangShan: Latest News! Ballad of the Desert, directed by Lee Kwok Lap, will start filming at XiangShan, 20th of February. They will be filming at XiangShan for 1 and a half months, the leads being Hu Ge, Liu Shi Shi and Wallace Huo. Reunion of three Chinese Paladin characters! How will their love lifes go in the new drama?

OMG! If it really is HG, Wallace and LSS, then all my dreams are coming true.
