Exclamation Justice Bao

Shouldn't the ATV's Duel in autumn in the ATV review section?

It is different version than the other cases.

Goofy, I put it under the Justice Bao case reviews since I thought you want it to be grouped there in that Justice Bao section. But if you prefer it to be separate ATV review, that's ok too.

Question

Can someone tell me the name of the actor in the white or blue dragon robe in the link PJ previously posted?

I think that actor is a pretty good actor. I liked him in Zhang San Feng with Kenny Ho Ka King and Righteous Guards. He can play the villian and good guy role very well. Well at least in my opinion he is that good.

His name is Long Long. First Long as in dragon, and the second Long from the Long in Qianlong.

He's a veteran Taiwanese actor nowadays.

Speaking of Long Long...

Goofy: did you know that the actor who played Lao Lao in the Mermaid case is the same guy who plays Ba Xian Wang?

he was superb as Lao Lao...

I like the eight prince and royal tutor in kenny ho version and think they should have kept the same actors for the latest one with vincent jiao.

the four guards of kaifeng were great also.

the dark skin and the moon mark on the forehead more or less came from legend passed on from generations ago. According to an article, as I vaguely remember, the legend started when one smith had a dream in which Bao was black and had the mark, and Bao told the smith the reasons. So he spread the words, and that's how the trademarks got around.

By the way Justice Bao is said to be send by the Jade Emperor to assist the Song dynasty.
His was the Deity of the Constellation "Wen Qu."
(Unfortunately I'm not a astrologist I haven't the foggiest which star that is).
But I do know the deity of this star used to Bi Gan (right the royal uncle of king Zhou in the Shang dynasty who had to remove his heart). See The Creation of the Gods (novel) or watch Gods of Honour (tvb serie)

Question

To PJ: You're right about Bi Gan. I wanted to ask you do you any site(s) that might have Justice Bao series which are downloadable.
I would like to re-watch certain episodes.

Just a question about the 8th prince Zhao Degong.
What is his official position in the government? I mean besides being the trusted counsellor of the emperor. And raising him all those years.
But isn't he also the supreme judge of Dali court?
I could remember him being the judge during court trials at the Dali court.

Cool

I don't think he ruled the Dali court. There is another official that does that. Can anyone provide some website on history at the time of Justice Bao in English?
