Great summer tv series, loved the cast because in each character is protrayed with an unusual unique powers; given by the aliens, which mutated the human genes only by the selected few, which are called: 4400.

    Characters:

    Jordon Collier

Abducted: April 10, 2002 -- New York, New York
Returned: August 14, 2004 -- Highland Beach, Washington
    Known Abilities: Unknown

    Bio:

A former businessman and hotel mogul, Jordan Collier (Billy Campbell) returned to Earth believing he had been given a second chance to make something of his life. Collier opened The 4400 Center, a place where 4400s could live in peace and where ordinary people could learn to unlock The 4400 within themselves. During this time Collier authored the book "4400 and Counting," revealing to the world the truth about The 4400: they were sent from the future to help prevent the demise of mankind.
But Jordan's tenure as the self-proclaimed figurehead of The 4400 was cut short when he was assassinated by Kyle Baldwin. Or was he? During his memorial service, Jordan's body mysteriously disappeared, sparking rumors that he was still alive. These rumors proved accurate when a resurrected but disheveled Collier appeared at the wedding of Shawn and Isabelle.
Suffering from amnesia, Collier visited an imprisoned Kyle in search of answers. Soon after, he was taken into NTAC custody and with the help of Alana Mareva's ability was able to recover his memory. He recalled having wandered the earth for many years, witnessing the evolution of a bleak future in which a brutal elite walled itself off inside the world's last city and consigned the rest of humanity to the surrounding wasteland. Collier believed that the only way this fate could be averted was by making 4400 abilities available to everyone.
Toward that end, Jordan stole thousands of vials of Promicin from a government facility, making him a fugitive from the law. He distributed the Promicin to the public, warning them that taking the shot carries with it serious risks. Fifty percent of those who inject themselves will die. While on the run, Collier begins receiving reports of people taking the Promicin shots, confirming that changes to the world have begun ... the future is being rewritten.

    Season 4 Timeline:

    The Wrath of Graham
    • Collier wakes up from a nightmare and is consoled by Kevin Burkhoff. "I know what kind of world I prevented," Collier tells him. "But is the world I created any better?"
    • Later, Collier gets "messiah envy" when he sees footage of Graham Holt on TV. Collier goes to meet Graham and puts his hands on Graham's face. This takes Graham's ability away.
    • Collier posts an internet message saying that a new era has begun.
    Season 1-3 Timeline:
    • As public sentiment toward The 4400 begins to turn hostile, Jordan Collier, himself a 4400, gathers his fellow returnees at Highland Beach.
    • Collier organizes a meeting at his estate, where he begins to collect information on his fellow 4400s and their abilities.
    • Collier's attempts to control the lives of Lily, Richard and their unborn child, Isabelle are exposed. Guards at the Arcadia Estates try to detain them, but when Collier touches Lily's belly, the child unleashes paralyzing pain on him.
    • Collier opens The 4400 Center where 4400s can learn to harness their ability and normal humans can learn how to unlock their own "inner" 4400. Collier publishes a book, "4400 and Counting," using information from secret NTAC documents. The book explains the origins of The 4400.
    • After Isabelle's attack on Collier, he tells Shawn that it was for the better. The attack helped him remove his bad intentions towards The 4400.
    • Collier is informed that Maia Skouris had a vision of him being killed. When he confronts Maia about it she stands by her vision. But Collier chooses to ignore her after Isabelle "shows" him a different version of his future. In the end it is Maia who is right: Collier is assassinated.
    • Later, a man bearing a striking resemblance to Jordan Collier calls out to Shawn right before the wedding.
    • Unable to remember who he is, Jordan Collier shows up at the prison looking for answers from Kyle. After Collier is arrested and brought in to NTAC, Alana returns to use her ability to help him regain his memories.
    • When Collier is finally released from NTAC he is welcomed by an immense crowd, willing and ready to follow the man they believe to be the messiah anywhere.
    • With the proof that Collier is alive, Kyle is freed from prison and Jordan returns to the Center only to find Isabelle waiting for him. Although Jordan forgives Isabelle for deceiving him when she was a baby, he insists that she leave the Center, explaining that she will always be an enemy of The 4400.
    • During a press conference, Collier explains that he has seen the future and it is bleak ?a war is starting and the 4400 must band together to fight evil.
    • Collier creates a distraction by threatening to attack Ryland. Meanwhile, he steals the promicin from Haspel Corp. with plans to distribute it to anyone and everyone.
    • Collier releases a video on the internet of Devon injecting promicin and explains that soon everyone will have the chance to develop 4400 abilities. When Devon unexpectedly dies from the injection, Jordon tells Richard that they must be willing to suffer a few casualties in order to achieve their goal.

    Shawn Farrell

Abducted: April 22, 2001 -- Highland Beach, Washington
Returned: August 14, 2004 -- Highland Beach, Washington
Known Abilities: Life force manipulation: capable of healing or harming with just his touch.
    Bio:

The future didn't want Shawn Farrell (Patrick Flueger) but when he blocked his cousin Kyle's abduction, Shawn was taken instead. When he returned to Earth, Shawn discovered he could heal (and harm) with his touch, using his ability to awaken a comatose Kyle. Later estranged from his family for nearly killing his brother Danny, Shawn sought solace with Jordan Collier in The 4400 Center. After Collier's assassination, it was Shawn who assumed Collier's responsibilities as leader of the Center and became the face of the 4400, using his healing ability to demonstrate that the 4400 could be a force for good in the world.
Shawn's moderate leadership of the 4400 movement was challenged by the more radical Nova Group. When Shawn discovered their true intentions and cut off their funding, the group utilized its leader's ability to drive Shawn insane. He was rescued by Isabelle, but his relationship with her proved to be problematic in its own right. Isabelle forced Shawn to agree to marry her, warning him that without his influence she could be a threat to humanity. But their wedding was ultimately averted, thanks to the surprise reappearance of Jordan Collier.
Shawn's relationship with Collier has become a tenuous one. He opposed Collier's plan to attack a military base, leaking the information to his uncle Tom. But when he was later pressed by NTAC for details about the promicin Collier had stolen, Shawn refused to betray his mentor. This loyalty had fateful consequences for Shawn, however. Isabelle used her abilities to torture him for information, thereby leaving him in a coma.
    Season 4 Timeline:

    Fear Itself

    • After getting the Promicin shot from Kyle, Shawn regains his health. It is not long before Shawn's brother Danny and his mother escort him home from the hospital.
    • At home, Shawn's brother Danny reveals that he is considering taking a shot of Promicin. At first Shawn tries to discourage his brother with the grim survival statistics, but eventually Shawn realizes that his brother will obtain the shot regardless. To keep his brother from possibly getting arrested, Shawn provides his brother with Promicin, adding another cautionary warning: "These abilities cause as many problems as they solve."
    • Later, Shawn heals a p-positive autistic boy who is having trouble controlling a dangerous ability.

    The Wrath of Graham
    • After getting a shot of promicin from Kyle, Shawn wakes up from his coma.

    Seasons 1-3 Timeline:

    • The future chooses Kyle Baldwin, but when Shawn interrupts the abduction he is taken instead, sending Kyle into a coma.
    • When Shawn returns, he discovers he has the ability to both restore and drain life force. Shawn realizes the magnitude of his powers when he manages to awaken Kyle from a three-year coma by merely touching him.
    • After being thrown out of the house for attacking his brother Danny, and losing a potential relationship with Nikki, an alienated Shawn seeks refuge at Jordan Collier's complex. Shawn informs Jordan of his powers, piquing the interest of Collier, who will soon become his mentor.
    • Taking advantage of Shawn's unique powers, Collier enlists him to heal important benefactors of The 4400 Center. Some question Collier's intentions.
    • The death of Collier has left a void at the top of The 4400 Center -- one that a reluctant Shawn fills. Faced with an avalanche of responsibility, Shawn ponders turning his back on the Center before Lily Moore convinces him to stay and use his powers to help people.
    • Shawn becomes sick with what he mistakes for the flu but is really a 4400 pandemic. He is soon quarantined along with the rest of the 4400s. After receiving the serum made from Isabelle's blood, Shawn is healed, and in turn, heals his fellow 4400s.
    • Overnight, Isabelle grows into a mature woman. She and Shawn begin to develop a relationship.
    • Shawn meets with Daniel Armand and NOVA. Thinking NOVA will help the 4400, Shawn agrees to fund their efforts. When he discovers NOVA true motives, Shawn turns TJ Kim (a NOVA member) over to NTAC. Daniel Armand informs Shawn that he "won't be forgiven."
    • When Shawn is attacked, he is forced to tell Matthew and Richard about his dealings with the NOVA Group. They convince Shawn to have Richard help him run the Center.
    • Doctors diagnose a paranoid and delusional Shawn with disorganized schizophrenia and send him to the hospital. Convinced that the Nova group are responsible, Isabelle tracks down Daniel Armand to cure Shawn. When Shawn finally learns about all the people Isabelle harmed along the way, Shawn is confused about who exactly Isabelle is.
    • Isabelle persuades Shawn to marry her, asserting that Shawn is supposed to stop the harmful things she might do. Not convinced, Shawn decides to kill her while she is sleeping. When it doesn't work, Shawn decides he is supposed to be with Isabelle after all.
    • Shawn finds out that Collier is still alive and calls off the wedding temporarily.
    • Shawn learns from his uncle that Isabelle has been working with Dennis Ryland and Haspel Corp. He also finds out that Jordan was responsible for breaking the NOVA group out of NTAC. When Shawn turns him in to NTAC, Jordan explains that he was merely testing Shawn's loyalties.
    • Devon becomes the first fatality from the promicin injection and Shawn is brought into NTAC for interrogation. Isabelle shows up and uses her abilities to "interrogate" Shawn. Weak and hurt after his encounter with Isabelle, Shawn is taken to NTAC medical.

    Kyle Baldwin

The future chose Kyle Baldwin (Chad Faust), but when his cousin Shawn Farrell pushed him out of the way, it was Shawn who was taken instead. The experience left Kyle comatose for three years. When the 4400 were returned, Kyle was given a second chance at life when Shawn used his newfound healing ability to awaken him. But Kyle wasn't exactly himself. His body was inhabited by a being from the future, one whose purpose was to warn humanity of the coming catastrophe.

Following a year in quarantine, Kyle was ultimately released. But he soon began having blackouts, emerging from them with no recollection where he'd been or what he'd been doing. When his memory started coming back to him, Kyle realized he was responsible for the assassination of Jordan Collier. Although Shawn was able to eventually free Kyle of the entity inside of him, Kyle turned himself in to the authorities and confessed to Collier's murder. As he was awaiting trial in prison, Kyle had a visit from a surprise visitor ... a resurrected Jordan Collier.
After Collier testified on his behalf, Kyle was released from prison. Believing he was destined to help the 4400, Kyle asked Collier for guidance. After their conversation, Kyle decided to leave home. He told his father he'd be traveling around the country, holding workshops at 4400 Centers to speak about his experiences. When Collier made Promicin available to the public, Kyle became one of the first people to take the shot.
    Season 4 Timeline:

    Fear Itself

    • After a few visits from Kyle, Shawn becomes aware of how much Kyle has changed. Not only is he now quoting Jordan Collier, but Kyle admits to taking Promicin.
    • Kyle meets Cassie and confronts her with the truth that she is not really an art student. Cassie responds by bringing Kyle to a house and asking him to go inside. There Kyle learns about a cult called White Light founded in 1918. This cult spoke of a future that sounds very much like the 4400; even their messiah is a spitting image of Jordan Collier. Cassie further adds to the intrigue by suggesting to Kyle that he is the shaman mentioned in the book. Intrigued, and somewhat disturbed, Kyle tells Cassie to leave him alone.
    • Later, Cassie appears at Kyle's house and tells him that she is not real. She is his ability, there to guide him to carry out his quest.

    The Wrath of Graham
    • Kyle moves back in with his father after getting a job as a legal aid for the 4400. While visiting Shawn in the hospital, Kyle confesses that he took the shot, but didn't develop an ability.
    • Later, Kyle meets art student Cassie Dunleavy on a park bench. They soon meet up again and this time Cassie suggests that someone give Shawn a shot of Promicin to see if that wakes him up. Kyle takes her advice and administers the shot to a sleeping Shawn. After a violent seizure, Shawn jolts awake.
    • Curious about Cassie, Kyle inquires about her at school only to discover that she is not actually a student.
    Seasons 1-3 Timeline:

    • The future chooses Kyle, but his cousin Shawn interrupts the abduction, only to get taken instead.
    • Kyle is left comatose for three years while Shawn is missing, during which time his parents' marriage is irrevocably damaged.
    • Shawn, still wrestling with the extent and purpose of his newfound powers, awakens Kyle from his coma. Kyle returns, however, not as he once was but possessed by a higher power.
    • A despondent Kyle demands Tom take him back to Highland Beach. While there, a beam of light releases from his chest, allowing Tom to interact with the future beings. The future informs him that The 4400 have been sent back to save humanity and re-write history. NTAC agents egregiously shoot Kyle to free Tom, but Kyle survives, freed from his possessor and ready to return to normalcy.
    • As Kyle adjusts to his life again, he begins to experience frequent blackouts, unable to account for his time. Unbeknownst to Kyle, it is during one of these blackouts that he assassinates Jordan Collier.
    • Kyle admits to Shawn and his father that he is responsible for Collier's murder. As Shawn hugs his cousin, Kyle is inadvertently freed from the remaining effects of his possession. Tom and Alana escort Kyle to the police station, where he confesses to his role in Collier's murder.
    • Kyle remains in jail while awaiting trial for the murder of Jordan Collier. He refuses to see his father.
    • Kyle is amazed and terrified when Jordan Collier shows up to visit him in prison. Collier convinces a judge to release Kyle - he can't be guilty of murder if there never was one.
    • After getting out of jail, Kyle visits Collier and decides that his new purpose is to help the 4400. Although his father attempts to talk him out of it, Kyle leaves Seattle to travel to 4400 Centers around the country talking about his experiences.
    • While on the road, Kyle procures a promicin shot and faces the decision of whether or not to take it.

    Maia Skouris

Abducted: March 3, 1946 -- Crescent City, California
Returned: August 14, 2004 -- Highland Beach, Washington
    Known Abilities: Pre-cognition
    Bio

Maia Skouris (Conchita Campbell) is the oldest child you know. The first of the known abductees, she disappeared in 1946 and returned having not aged a day. Her family long gone, Maia was adopted by NTAC agent Diana Skouris. Blessed with precognition, Maia sometimes has visions of the future that are disturbing. She was able to forecast of Jordan Collier's murder, but it didn't prevent his death. Once she was taken off the promicin inhibitor, Maia became overwhelmed by her visions, filling up stacks of diaries with predictions.
Maia prevailed on her mother to allow her to attend school at the 4400 Center alongside other children with abilities. Maia and some of her classmates were abducted and sent back into the past, an attempt by the future to make further changes to the timeline. But Tom and Diana were able to contact the future and negotiate their return; in exchange for the children's release, Tom was instructed to kill Isabelle. But Tom was unable to fulfill this mission, a decision that almost cost Maia her life when Isabelle attacked her classroom at the 4400 Center.
The trauma of that experience led Diana to resign from NTAC and relocate to Spain, taking Maia with her. They live in San Sebastian with Diana's boyfriend Ben, a photographer who had previously been involved with her sister April ... until Maia predicted that it was actually Diana and Ben who would end up together.
    Season 4 Timeline:

    The Wrath of Graham

    • After spending three months in Spain with her mother and Ben, Maia is saddened to learn that her mother is leaving, and has a vision that she won't be coming back.
    Seasons 1-3 Timeline:

    • While on a picnic with her parents, 8-year-old Maia becomes the first known abductee of The 4400.
    • Maia returns with the power to see the future but no one to take care of her. Fortunately NTAC agent Diana Skouris officially adopts her.
    • In an effort to appear normal, Maia claims she has stopped seeing visions of the future. The truth is she is recording them in a stash of secret diaries.
    • In one of her many visions, Maia predicts Jordan Collier's assassination. Collier is informed of the vision and when he confronts Maia, she stands by her prediction. When Isabelle "shows" Collier a different version of his future he mistakenly believes her. As is always the case, Maia's vision is accurate and Collier is assassinated.
    • Diana begins to notice a mysterious rash on Maia's body and Maia soon falls ill. Searching for answers they visit the NTAC medical center. Maia's condition continues to worsen and soon other 4400s begin showing similar symptoms and are eventually all placed in quarantine.
    • Deathly ill, Maia is healed at the last minute by a now healthy Shawn. But although she is healed her visions become more intense than ever and Maia tells a concerned Diana and Marco that "the war is only starting."
    • A hesitant Diana brings Maia to The 4400 Center School where Maia is excited by the prospect of attending school with people just like herself.
    • A woman from the future claims to be Sara Rutledge, Maia sister. She kidnaps Maia and sends her into the past. Although Diana tries to live with Maia in an alternate reality, Tom eventually strikes a deal with the future for Maia's safe return to the present.
    • Maia has a nightmare in which her mother turns into a monster, one that begins to come true when Diana learns she's being injected with the promicin serum.
    • Maia is thrilled when Diana's sister, April, arrives with her new boyfriend Ben. However, Maia has a vision of Diana getting married to Ben instead of April. Not long after, Ben and Diana start seeing each other.
    • Diana, worried about her daughter's safety, forbids Maia to continue to attend school at The 4400 Center. But Maia defies her mother and sneaks back.
    • When Isabelle later arrives at the Center, ready to bring it down in order to get to Collier, Maia tells her that her plan won't work and fortunately Tom, Diana and Richard arrive in time. With the current crisis behind them, Maia and Diana leave Seattle to live with Ben in Spain.

    Isabelle Tyler

Technically not one of The 4400 returnees (she was still in the womb at the time), Isabelle Tyler (Megalyn Echikunwoke) is the daughter of Richard and Lily Tyler. Even while in the womb Isabelle proved to be very powerful, and as an infant she used her abilities to protect but also manipulate her parents. It was her blood alone that was able to save the 4400 when their lives were threatened by the promicin inhibitor.

Isabelle instantaneously jumped from being a toddler to a young woman, a dramatic transformation that also caused her mother Lily to age into an old woman. But Isabelle was not prepared to take her own life, thereby facilitating Lily's death. Isabelle struggled with her rapid maturation, turning to Shawn Farrell for guidance and eventually become romantically involved with him. She was torn between her feelings for Shawn and her destiny to destroy the 4400, which according to Matthew Ross was the reason she was given limitless abilities.
She began to assert her own will, killing Matthew and executing Nova Group members who'd attacked Shawn. Declaring that the fate of humanity was at stake, she convinced Shawn to marry her. The wedding was called off, however, thanks to the surprise reappearance of Jordan Collier. When Collier ordered her out of the 4400 Center, Isabelle turned to Dennis Ryland, allowing his researchers to extract her promicin in order to develop a supersoldier army.
When the promicin she donated was stolen, Isabelle tortured Shawn for information about its whereabouts. When she arrived at the location with Ryland and the supersoldiers, they walked right into a trap. Isabelle managed to escape death and went on a murderous spree at the 4400 Center in an attempt to draw Collier out. Instead, she was confronted by NTAC agents Tom Baldwin and Diana Skouris. But it was her father Richard who ultimately ended the rampage, injecting Isabelle with a syringe that took away her abilities. The confrontation left her injured, powerless, and in NTAC custody.

    Season 4 Timeline:

    Fear Itself

    • At a government detention facility, government bureaucrat Jack Delphy tells Isabelle she may get released from prison if she gets tested for her tolerance for Promicin. Isabelle agrees to the test, and the results confirm that Isabelle has an allergy to Promicin. If she takes the shot, she will die.

    The Wrath of Graham
    • While in jail, Isabelle is visited by Tom. Isabelle suggests that the future took Alana away from Tom because he didn't kill hersabelles he was instructed. Isabelle in turn asks Tom if he knows anything about Shawn or her father Richard. When Tom presses her for more details about Alana, Isabelle tells Tom "you don't wanna know what I know."

    Seasons 1-3 Timeline

    • Even from the womb, it is clear Isabelle has extraordinary abilities. Already she has the ability to communicate with her mother as well as exercise extreme power over things around her.
    • In an effort to protect her parents, unborn Isabelle unleashes a paralyzing pain on Jordan Collier when he touches Lily's pregnant belly. As a baby her powers continue to heighten. While in hiding and harassed by religious zealots, Isabelle saves her parents by willing death upon their stalkers.
    • Maia Skouris accurately predicts Collier's assassination but baby Isabelle "shows" him another version of his future to intentionally mislead Collier, giving him a false sense of security.
    • With The 4400s in quarantine, Isabelle's untainted blood is the only thing capable of curing Shawn, who in turn, heals the rest of The 4400s.
    • When Lily next checks in on Isabelle, she finds her daughter missing, not knowing that miraculously Isabelle has grown into an adult woman.
    • Isabelle is startled and confused to awaken one morning no longer a baby but a grown woman. She soon meets her mother who has also aged overnight.
    • Isabelle tries to understand her new life and educate herself, seeking comfort and knowledge from Shawn. The pair begin to form a new friendship.
    • Realizing she is responsible for her mother's decreasing health, a conflicted Isabelle attempts to kill herself by jumping off the 4400 Center roof. Amazingly, she walks away unharmed.
    • Following her suicide attempt, Matthew informs Isabelle of the futures "plans" for her. There is only one thing that can kill Isabelle: a substance Matthew gives her. Isabelle now needs to make a choice between her life and her mothers. Ultimately she chooses her own.
    • Isabelle and Shawn grow close and she asks him to "be her first." Regardless of her father's advice against the relationship, and Matthew pushing her towards it, Isabelle kisses him and he is unable to resist.
    • Shawn tries to end his relationship with Isabelle, but she will not allow it. Convinced that her father is causing of Shawn doubts, she uses her abilities to momentarily harm her father.
    • Convinced the NOVA group is responsible for Shawn's behavior, Isabelle believes the only way to save Shawn is to hunt down NOVA herself. When Matthew tries to stop her, Isabelle kills him, telling him it is time for her to make her own choices. Isabelle proceeds to take down the NOVA group, one-by-one, using her abilities. Later, Richard convinces Isabelle to turn herself in but both he and Tom wonder if she is innocent or a cold-blooded murderer.
    • When Shawn's ex girlfriend shows up, Isabelle gives Shawn a subtle warning to stay away from her.
    • Isabelle tells Shawn that they should get married. She insists this is the only way that Shawn can help stop her from doing the horrible things Matthew predicted.
    • Worried about Isabelle capacity for evil, Shawn tries to kill her while she sleeps. When he does not succeed, Isabelle explains that Shawn doesn't have a choice. Marriage is the only answer.
    • Isabelle begins making preparations for her wedding, preparing the guest list and asking her father to plan his speech.
    • Isabelle learns from her father that the wedding has been postponed because Jordan Collier was seen at The 4400 Center.
    • Worried about Collier's return, Isabelle reveals to her father that she showed Collier a false vision of the future when she was just a baby. Richard notices that Collier seems to be the first person Isabelle has ever been afraid of.
    • When Jordan finally returns to the Center, he finds Isabelle waiting for him. Although Collier forgives her for what she did in the past, he tells her to leave the Center because she is the enemy of the 4400 and will never be able to change.
    • After leaving the 4400 Center, Isabelle joins forces with Dennis Ryland and promises to offer him protection from Collier and the 4400. Together they continue to build an army with 4400 abilities.
    • Isabelle continues to work with Ryland preparing for a confrontation with Collier. When Shawn is arrested by NTAC, Isabelle and Ryland show up in an attempt to interrogate him. Although Isabelle admits to Shawn that she once loved him, she spares no remorse and uses her ability to force information about Collier and the promicin supply out of her former fiance. But when Isabelle arrives to destroy Collier she finds he's fled.
    • Resolving to bring Collier down once and for all, Isabelle visits The 4400 Center, determined to kill off as many people as it takes for Collier to show. When Tom and Diana arrive, a struggle ensues, but is cut short when Richard injects Isabelle with Tom's white syringe. But instead if killing her, the liquid takes away her abilities and Tom, in an effort to makes sure she no longer has powers, fires a round into her arm. A wounded Isabelle is taken to NTAC Medical.

    Richard Tyler

    Abducted: May 11, 1951 -- Sinanju, Korea
Returned: August 14, 2004 -- Highland Beach, Washington
    Known Abilities: Telekinesis
    Bio

A pilot in the Korean War who disappeared in 1951, Richard Tyler (Mahershalalhashbaz Ali) returned to find love with fellow 4400 Lily Moore, the granddaughter of the woman he was involved with prior to his abduction.

Unbeknownst to Richard and Lily, they'd conceived a child together while in the future. It wasn't until their return that they learned of Lily's pregnancy. After the birth of their daughter, Isabelle, and fearing for their child's safety, Richard and Lily lived a life on the run, hiding from both Jordan Collier and NTAC. Eventually, however, the family made peace with Collier and settled at the 4400 Center.
But Richard's hope for a peaceful existence was cut short by sudden drastic changes in his life. Overnight, his daughter grew from an infant into a grown woman, while his wife aged fifty years. The rapid aging process eventually resulted in Lily's untimely death.
At the behest of Matthew Ross, Richard took on a leadership role at the 4400 Center. He severed all ties with the militant Nova Group, which led their leader Daniel Armand to take action against Shawn Farrell. Isabelle saved Shawn, killing a number of Nova Group members in the process. Richard talked Isabelle into turning herself into NTAC, but a lack of evidence freed her of all charges. Richard wasn't able to convince Isabelle to leave Shawn alone, however, and he was forced to accept their relationship and eventual engagement.
Although Richard began to develop a telekinetic ability, it was no match for the myriad abilities possessed by Isabelle. But in the end, it was Richard who took away her powers, telekinetically injecting her with the syringe the future had given Tom Baldwin. After Jordan Collier's return, Richard assisted him in stealing promicin from a government installation. But after learning that those who take it have a fifty percent chance of dying, Richard disagreed with Collier over the morality of handing it out. After promicin hit the streets, he left Collier's movement and embarked on a new life as a fugitive.
    SEASONS ONE-THREE TIMELINE

    • Richard is returned to Earth but the former soldier isn't given a hero's welcome. While in quarantine, Richard befriends fellow 4400, Lily Moore, the granddaughter of his former love.
    • Richard learns Lily is pregnant although they conceived the child while in the future.
    • Living at Arcadia Estates with Lily and working as an estate security guard, Richard learns of Jordan Collier's intentions to kidnap Lily and his unborn daughter Isabelle. During their effort to escape, Collier is paralyzed by simply touching Lily's pregnant belly.
    • On the run from Collier and NTAC, Richard, Lily and baby Isabelle are hunted down by a religious zealot claiming the child is the devil. Isabelle saves the lives of her parents by willing death upon the stalkers.
    • Unaffected by the disease attacking The 4400s, Richard takes control of The 4400 Center from a sickly Shawn who enters quarantine. Richard later sets up safe houses across the world for healthy 4400s.
    • As The 4400s recover, Richard begins to discover his telekinetic ability.
    • Richard discovers that his daughter and wife have both aged overnight. His daughter is now in her 20's and his wife is an elderly woman.
    • Realizing Lily's condition is only getting worse, the couple take a trip to the cabin they once lived in to spend their last days together. Soon after arriving, Lily passes away.
    • After learning that Shawn donated money to the NOVA group, Matthew convinces Shawn to get Richard to help run the Center.
    • Richard is furious when he finds out Shawn and Isabelle have been seeing one another and insists the relationship end. Angry with her father, Isabelle uses her abilities to momentarily harm him.
    • Richard suspects that Shawn's bizarre behavior is not the rapid onset of disorganized schizophrenia but actually an attack by members of the NOVA group. He agrees to have Shawn hospitalized only to later find out that Isabelle has broken Shawn free and proceeded on a rampage.
    • Richard convinces Isabelle to surrender Daniel Armand to NTAC in order to prevent her from murdering again.
    • Richard is not happy about Shawn and Isabelle upcoming wedding. When Shawn tells Richard that Isabelle believes being married to him will help prevent her from doing horrible things, Richard and Shawn weigh their options.
    • Although Richard practices his telekinetic skills, he still has difficulty controlling them. In an effort to hone his ability he asks Heather, a 4400 school teacher, to help him.
    • Richard is startled to learn that if Shawn marries Isabelle, he will murder Richard in the future.
    • Richard informs Isabelle that the wedding will have to be delayed because Jordan Collier was scene at The 4400 Center. Richard worries what Collier's return will mean for his daughter.
    • Richard is distraught when he learns that Isabelle has been partnering with Ryland and he finally realizes that he's lost his daughter for good. When Collier seeks support for breaking the NOVA group out of NTAC and attacking Ryland's enhanced army, Richard surprisingly agrees with all of his decisions. So much so that he even helps Collier steal the promicin from Haspel Corp.
    • After Devon dies from the promicin injection, Richard attempts to destroy the supply of promicin. Collier and NOVA manage to stop and restrain Richard, but when Isabelle arrives at the 4400 Center ready to destroy it, Richard is released to try and stop her. When he finds his daughter attempting to kill Tom, Richard realizes he has no other choice, and uses his ability to hurl Tom's white syringe into her back. But Richard is surprised to find that instead of killing her, the substance takes away her abilities.

    Alana Mareva

    Abducted: September 5, 2001 -- Seattle, Washington
Returned: August 14, 2004 -- Highland Beach, Washington
    Known Abilities: Alternate reality creation
    Bio

A widow since her husband and son were killed in a car accident, Alana Mareva (Karina Lombard) returned with the ability to create alternate realities out of people's memories. Alana's ability enabled her to form a bond with Tom Baldwin, a relationship forged by the future so that she could help him through the difficult times that lie ahead.

That relationship was tested, however, when she betrayed Tom by alerting fellow 4400 Gary Navarro that NTAC was after him. This forced Tom into a precarious position, and he eventually attempted a trade to win her freedom. But Tom couldn't go through with it, which meant Alana had to go on the run in order to avoid arrest. After working out an arrangement with NTAC, Alana returned to Seattle. She used her ability on Jordan Collier, enabling him to recover his memory. This allowed him to testify on Kyle Baldwin's behalf, thereby securing his release from prison. Tom's family was not reunited for long, however. Alana was re-abducted by the future, disappearing in a ball of light similar to the one that'd taken the original 4400.
    SEASONS ONE-THREE TIMELINE

    • Alana meets Tom Baldwin in an alternate reality based upon their individual memories. Alana and Tom begin an eight-year marriage in this alternate universe and upon returning to the real world choose to continue their relationship. Together they try to integrate Tom's son Kyle into their new life.
    • After Jordan Collier's assassination, Kyle goes missing. In an effort to find him, Alana searches Kyle's room and finds a key to a locker. She and Tom track down the locker and its contents: a gun and a newspaper article on Collier -- evidence implicating Kyle. Alana hides the evidence to help cover up Kyle's murderous deed.
    • After the real and alternate worlds she created begin conflicting with one another, Alana is ailed by the same illness afflicting other 4400s. She leaves Tom to enter quarantine.
    • Newly cured by Shawn and healthy again, Alana and Tom escort Kyle to the police station where he turns himself in for Collier's murder.
    • Alana begins to hone her ability to create alternate realities and she and Tom use them as escapes.
    • Alana begins to come to grips with the fact that she is a 4400 and decides to start attending seminars at the Center.
    • With 4400 Boyd Gelder impersonating Tom, Alana finds herself unable to distinguish between her husband and the impersonator. But after being taken hostage by Boyd, Alana finally manages to recognize the real Tom and helps him take down and arrest Boyd.
    • Tom learns that Alana is considering a teaching position at The 4400 Center School, one where she'll use her ability to help the students. In anticipation of her new position, Alana begins practicing her ability with Heather, a fellow 4400.
    • Alana creates an alternate reality for Diana to visit Maia. When Diana attempts to stay there, Alana and Tom visit her and try, unsuccessfully, to convince her to come home.
    • After counseling Todd Barstow, a young 4400, Alana finds that he can not only sense her feelings regarding the death of her husband and son but that he also knows who killed them.
    • After Tom and Diana unsuccessfully attempt to arrest NOVA member Gary Navarro, Alana reveals to Tom that she tipped off Gary to the pending arrest. Realizing she has no other choice, Alana turns herself over to Dennis Ryland and Haspel Corp. Tom searches for a way to free his wife, finally realizing that if he finds Gary, he can trade the NOVA member for Alana. But Tom and Diana can follow through with the plan and instead encourage Alana and Gary to flee Seattle and live a life on the run. Alana fears she will never see her husband again.
    • At Tom request, Alan returns to Seattle and uses her ability to help Jordan collier regain his memory. Afterwards, Alana is forced to go back on the run.
    • Alana returns to Seattle and her life with Tom and Kyle.
    • When Maia and Diana are leaving Seattle, Maia tells Alana a disturbing vision. When they return from Spain, Alana will no longer be there.

    Kevin Burkhoff

Kevin Burkhoff (Jeffrey Combs) was a world-renowned neurochemist before suffering a mental breakdown. He was committed to Abendson Psychiatric Hospital, where he remained until he was awakened by a device constructed by Tess Doerner, a 4400 and fellow patient.

After checking himself out of Abendson, Burkhoff began doing neurological research on the 4400. His research helped expose a government conspiracy -- the 4400 had been unknowingly receiving injections of promicin inhibitor, a substance designed to prevent them from gaining extra-human abilities. But the inhibitor was making them sick, and Burkhoff's discovery led to their eventual cure.
Burkhoff subsequently immersed himself in the study of promicin, which included injecting it into his own body. He eventually became the first non-4400 promicin positive, developing the ability to heal himself. He also experimented on an unwitting Diana Skouris, but the experiment didn't go as planned. When NTAC swooped in and attempted to arrest him, it was the ability of the recently released Tess that helped him evade capture. Kevin and Tess were recruited by Jordan Collier to join his movement. It was Kevin's research that enabled the distribution of promicin, fulfilling the prediction that he would become "the father of 4400 technology."

    Season 4 Timeline

    The Wrath of Graham

    • Burkhoff tells Collier that Tess needs medical care. When Collier refuses, Burkhoff reminds him that Tess' ability is what is keeping them all from being arrested and found out.
    • Tess soon runs away, and Burkhoff goes out to find her.
    Seasons 1-3 Timeline
    • Kevin makes his first appearance as a patient at Abenson Psychiatric Hospital suffering from paranoid personality disorder. Fellow patient and 4400 returnee Tess Doerner "commissions" a structure that seems to produce nothing but a high-pitched sound ... but it's one that shakes Kevin from his disorder. The neuroscience professor speaks for the first time in years.
    • Kevin appears on TV, criticizing The 4400 Center for being a scam that cheats people out of their money. Shawn Farrell hears a measure of truth in his words and asks Kevin to join The Center. Together they can help discover ways of creating new 4400s.
    • Kevin cracks the mystery behind the plague afflicting The 4400: it's no disease, but an inhibitor NTAC has been injecting into The 4400. Kevin discovers that the inhibitor targets a substance called promicin -- a substance unique to The 4400 and responsible for their supernatural abilities.
    • Baby Isabelle provides Kevin with the untainted blood needed to synthesize a cure for The 4400. Kevin gives the antidote to Diana, who then injects it into Shawn.
    • Curious about the effects of promicin, Kevin begins to inject himself with the serum.
    • Kevin appears sick as he treats Lily. His coworkers begin to question his health.
    • Diana discovers that Kevin has been injecting himself with a modified version of the promicin serum. His goal ?to produce promicin on his own and become the first non-returnee to develop 4400 abilities. Diana agrees to help monitor his progress.
    • Kevin increases his doses of the promicin shot and although his physical condition worsens, his body becomes able to instantly heal. When he plunges a scalpel through his hand he comes away from it unharmed.
    • Kevin Burkhoff's condition continues to worsen from the promicin serum injections. When Kevin is hunted down by an unknown man, Kevin retreats to a cabin with a now healthy Tess Doerner to continue his experiments. Fearing that he may not live much longer, Kevin uses Tess's ability to control others to force Diana (unbeknownst to her), to inject herself with the serum. After NTAC learns about his experiments on Diana, Kevin has no choice but to kidnap her fearing that he is running out of time. Fortunately, Tom and NTAC find them before Diana can be harmed beyond repair but Kevin and Tess manage to escape. Although Kevin seemed on the brink of death, hours later he appears a new man. He's handsome, healthy and has developed 4400 abilities. Together he and Tess leave Seattle.

    Tess Doerner

    Abducted: April 3, 1955 - Unknown
Returned: August 14, 2004 - Highland Beach, WA
Known Abilities: Can compel others to do as she wants
Tess Doerner (Summer Glau) is an original 4400 with the ability to compel other people to obey her commands. She has suffered from paranoid schizophrenia since she was a teenager and was committed to Abendson Psychiatric Hospital before vanishing on April 3, 1955. She was brought back with the 4400 in 2004, but because her schizophrenia persisted she was returned to Abendson after quarantine. There she compelled those around her to construct a tower-like communication device that awakened scientist and fellow patient Kevin Burkhoff from his own mental illness. Thanks to medications to control her schizophrenia, Tess was able to return to the outside world. She used her ability to compel Diana Skouris to become an unwitting test subject for Burkhoff's promicin injections, and when this experiment was uncovered she helped Kevin escape from NTAC. They lived quietly as fugitives until Jordan Collier recruited them to join his movement. After Collier distributed promicin to the masses, Tess and Kevin joined him on the run. Her ability has been key to them eluding captivity.

    Season 4 Timeline

    The Wrath of Graham
    • Tess, Collier, and Burkhoff are all hiding in a safe house. While walking in the woods one day, Tess sees a dead person. She tells Jordan that ever since they gave away Promicin, she has been haunted by dead people. Burkhoff tries to get Tess to take her medication, but she soon disappears.

    Tom Baldwin

Tom Baldwin (Joel Gretsch) is one of the lead NTAC agents responsible for investigating The 4400, along with his partner Diana Skouris. Prior to joining NTAC, he worked as an agent for the FBI. Tom's professional responsibilities sometimes conflict with his personal connections to the 4400.
His nephew Shawn is famous for his healing ability and served as the leader of the 4400 Center, an organization often at odds with NTAC. And his son Kyle spent three years in a coma, a result of trauma he suffered the night Shawn was abducted. The emotional strain from this tragedy hastened the demise of Tom's marriage.
Shawn used his healing ability to awaken Kyle, who subsequently divulged to his father that the 4400 had been taken by the future in order to change history and avert a catastrophe. Moreover, it was Tom's mission to help the 4400 and prevent this bleak future from coming to pass.
While investigating Jordan Collier's assassination, Tom learned his son was the killer and tried to protect him. It was ultimately revealed that Kyle had been inhabited by an entity from the future and wasn't acting on his own accord. Kyle confessed to the murder anyway, and was sent to prison.
Tom sought help from a resurrected Jordan Collier, whose return secured Kyle's release from prison. But Tom's gratitude for Collier's assistance was short-lived. Soon thereafter, Tom found himself hunting a fugitive Collier after he robbed a government facility and distributed its stockpile of promicin. Adding insult to injury, his son Kyle appears to have allied himself with Collier against his father's wishes.
Despite the difficulty of his job, Tom was able to take solace in his relationship with Alana Mareva, a 4400 with the ability to create alternate realities. It was in one of these realities that they met and fell in love.
But Alana betrayed Tom by tipping off a fellow 4400 that NTAC was closing in, and she was forced to flee Seattle in order to avoid prosecution. The two were later reunited, but soon after Alana mysteriously disappeared. Tom has spent months searching for her, but with no leads to go on he's nearly given up hope.

    Seaon 4 Timeline

    Fear Itself

    • Doctor Clayton informs Tom and Garrity that someone or some thing is making people hallucinate about their worst fears. After some sleuthing, Tom and Garrity discover that a man named Ryan Preston gave his son Brandon a dose of Promicin in an attempt to cure his autism. Not only did it not cure the autism, the Promicin gave Brandon a very dangerous ability. When Garrity is hospitalized after upsetting the boy, Diana and Tom partner up to track down the boy and his mother. When they do find Brandon, Tom sedates him. Back at NTAC, Shawn is able to heal the boy, ridding him of his autism.
    • Meghan visits Tom at the museum and tells him that Garrity will be well soon. Tom praises Garrity, but tells Meghan that he'd rather partner with Diana. Later, Tom takes down the pictures of Alana that he has been obsessing over for months.

    The Wrath of Graham
    • Tom is surprised but happy when Kyle moves back home.
    • Later he meets the new head of NTAC, Meghan Doyle. She tells Tom that Isabelle may have some information regarding the disappearance of Alana Mareva. Whe Tom goes to visit Isabelle, she passes him a note that urges him to check out a particular gallery at the Powell Museum of Art. There, Tom sees a painting of a woman that looks exactly like Alana, dated 1885.
    • Along with Garrity and the others at NTAC, Tom sets out to stop Graham Holt, a student who takes promicin and becomes a spiritual leader with hordes of followers. As Holt converts more and more people to worship him, including the police and some at NTAC, it is actually Collier, not Tom, who stops Graham.
    Seasons 1-3 Timeline

    • Dennis Ryland brings Tom back to NTAC and pairs him with Diana in order to lead the investigation into The 4400. Tom's nephew, Shawn Farrell, is one of the returnees.
    • Rather than welcome Shawn back with open arms, Tom interrogates Shawn on what happened the night he was abducted -- the night Tom's son, Kyle, fell into a coma that's lasted three years. Tom soon discovers Shawn has brought Kyle out of his coma and although grateful, Tom is confused by Shawn's abilities and his son's strange new behavior.
    • Later Tom accompanies Kyle to Highland Beach. It's clear that Kyle is not actually Kyle. While at the beach, a beam of light releases from Kyle's chest, allowing Tom to interact with the future beings. The future informs Tom that The 4400 have been sent back to save humanity and re-write history.
    • Tom wakes one morning, long after the return of The 4400, to find his life suddenly an idyllic one. Other than himself, no one has heard of The 4400. Kyle is an honors student at Standford Medical College. Tom is married again ... to Alana Mareva, a beautiful art gallery curator. Alana confides in Tom that she too has heard of The 4400 and that she is in fact one of them. Soon the two learn they are living in an alternative reality created by Alana based upon their individual memories. Alan and Tom begin an eight-year marriage in this alternate universe. Upon returning to reality they choose to continue their relationship and try to integrate Tom's son Kyle into their new life.
    • After Jordan Collier's assassination, Tom's son is found missing. In an effort to find him, Alana and Tom investigate a locker Kyle rented and discover its contents: a gun and a newspaper article on Jordan Collier -- evidence of Kyle's involvement in the murder.
    • The 4400 begin to grow sick and all of them, sick or not, are quarantined. Tom and Diana begin to investigate. They soon discover that NTAC is behind the deathly illness and Diana correctly predicts that Ryland engineered the entire thing. When Tom confronts Ryland, he blackmails him -- Ryland knows Kyle is responsible for Collier's murder.
    • After Tom finally tracks him down, Kyle agrees to confess to the murder, freeing Tom to expose NTAC's role in the scandal.
    • NTAC receives a message from a radical wing of the 4400 known as the NOVA group. The group promises that something drastic will happen on October 19th. Tom and Diana are assigned to investigate.
    • Using 4400 Gary Navarro, Tom and Diana begin to hunt down the members of the NOVA group. Little does Tom know, Gary is purposely leading them in the wrong direction.
    • Tom and Diana discover Gary's lies before he murders Ryland. During Gary's interrogation they learn he is working for Daniel Armand and NOVA.
    • With the help of Shawn, Tom and Diana arrest NOVA member TJ Kim and prepare for the events of October 19th. But what they expect to be a disaster instead turns into a miracle. The NOVA group is warning the world ?they can use their powers for good or for evil.
    • Tom is shocked to learn that Alana plans to teach at The 4400 Center School and use her abilities with the children.
    • When Tom and Diana are both haunted by visions of a strange young girl, they realize the girl is Diana's daughter Maia, erased from their lives by the future. The future agrees to return Maia as long as Tom kills Isabelle.
    • Before killing Isabelle, vows to find out more before he can make his final decision.
    • When Tom and Diana arrive at Gary Navarro's house they are surprised to find him missing and surmise that someone tipped him off. Tom is shocked and betrayed when he learns that it was, in fact, his wife Alana who warned Gary. After Alana is taken into custody, Tom does everything in his power to find Gary, convinced that Dennis Ryland will be willing to trade Alana for Gary. But Tom and Diana can't follow through with the plan and instead release both Gary and Alana explaining they'll have to live a life on the run. Faced with no other choice, Tom watches Alana walk out of his life.
    • After receiving an anonymous package of cookies, Tom begins seeing his dead father and realizes that the cookies were laced with a hallucinogen called Blink.
    • When Kevin Burkhoff goes missing, Tom helps Diana begin the search. But when Diana is kidnapped by Kevin (in an effort to continue his promicin experiments on her), Tom must work with NTAC to find his partner. Although Tom finds Diana before it's too late, Kevin and Tess manage to escape.
    • Diana and Tom discoverer the Starzl Mutation, a rare abnormality seen only in 123 people in the Seattle area. It turns out that the only way 4400's can have children with abilities is to reproduce with someone with the Starzl Mutation.
    • Tom learns that Haspel Corp has been injecting participants in an enhanced soldier program with promicin to create an army with 4400 abilities. Although unnerved by this information, Tom heads to the Center for his nephew's wedding.
    • Tom finds out that Jordan Collier is alive but has no memory. With Alana's help, Jordan regains his memory and Kyle is released from prison.
    • Tom is shocked when Kyle explains that instead of heading back to college, he's leaving to help the 4400 in any way he can.
    • Meanwhile at work, after NOVA members manage to escape from NTAC, Tom and Diana attempt to avoid a confrontation between Collier/the 4400 and Ryland/his enhanced army. Along the way, Tom learns that Isabelle has been working with Ryland but more astonishingly, that Collier was able to steal Ryland's entire supply of promicin. Together with Diana, Tom worries about what Collier will do with his new stock of the promicin.
    • After learning that someone plans on distributing promicin publicly, Tom and Diana suspect Collier is behind it all. When Tom and Diana discover Shawn trying to heal a dying Devon, he is brought into NTAC and although Tom tries to get information out of his nephew he is unsuccessful. But Tom soon learns that Isabelle plans to take down the 4400 Center and heads to intercept her. When Isabelle manages to overpower Tom, he fears for his life, until Richard arrives and injects Isabelle with the white syringe. Fearing, however that Isabelle may still have abilities, Tom empties a round into her arm, testing her ability to heal. With the problem of Collier and the 4400 momentarily behind him, Tom says goodbye to Diana and Maia as they prepare to leave for Spain.

    Diana Skouris

Diana Skouris (Jacqueline McKenzie) is a scientist who worked with the CDC for seven years prior to joining NTAC, where she is now a lead investigator assigned to The 4400. Partnered with Tom Baldwin, the two were instrumental in exposing the government's secret promicin inhibitor program thereby saving thousands of lives.
Although initially wary of the 4400, Diana quickly formed a bond with abductee Maia Rutledge. Their connection grew stronger, and Diana eventually adopted Maia. Now, as she adjusts to her new life as a parent, Diana struggles to remain objective in her work at NTAC while raising a 4400 of her own.
She began a romantic relationship with NTAC analyst Marco Pacella, but ended it after an experience with a 4400 ability convinced her they had no real future together.
Diana continues to have a fraught relationship with her sister, April. The two have extremely different personalities and find themselves constantly at odds with one another. When April learned of Maia's precognitive ability, she took advantage and attempted to improve her financial situation. This only served to further strain the relationship between the two sisters. April soon resurfaced with a new boyfriend, Ben Saunders, but the relationship was immediately complicated by Maia's prediction that Diana would be the one to ultimately marry Ben. When Ben broke it off with April, his chemistry with Diana quickly turned into a full-blown romance.
When Maia's school was attacked and her daughter nearly killed, Diana decided to turn in her NTAC badge. Seeking to protect her daughter, she moved to Spain with Maia and new boyfriend Ben to start a new life.
    Seasons 4 Timeline

    Fear Itself

    • Diana, now without the power and privileges that come with NTAC, is having trouble locating her sister April. After consulting with Tom, Diana decides to seek reinstatement with Meghan Doyle at NTAC. Although Meghan knows that Diana has ulterior motives, she reinstates her anyway. When Garrity is hospitalized after his interaction with Brandon, a p-positive autistic boy, Diana and Tom partner up to track down the boy and his mother. Tom and Diana sedate Brandon and bring him back to NTAC. Shawn is able to heal the boy, ridding him of his autism.

    The Wrath of Graham
    • After spending three months in Spain with Maia and Ben, Diana receives a jobn offer with the European union. Later, Marco calls Diana and tells her that April may have taken a Promicin shot.

    Seasons 1-3 Timeline

    • Dennis Ryland pairs Diana with Tom Baldwin, an NTAC agent who recently returned to duty after a family trauma. The two agents lead the investigation into The 4400.
    • Diana, initially wary of The 4400, softens after meeting Maia Rutledge, an 8-year-old returnee with the ability to see the future. Shortly after, Diana officially adopts Maia and the two attempt to create a normal family life together.
    • Their happiness is short lived as a disease starts to plague not only Maia, but other 4400s as well. With Maia placed in quarantine, Diana struggles to find a cure to save her daughter.
    • As Tom and Diana investigate, they discover that NTAC is, in fact, behind The 4400 illness -- the organization has been injecting returnees with a promicin inhibitor that regulates their abilities. Diana correctly speculates that Ryland is responsible.
    • Using a serum made from Isabelle's blood, Diana is able to cure Shawn Farrell. With his unique healing ability, Shawn is able, in turn, to heal his fellow 4400s, including a deathly-ill Maia.
    • As their lives get back to normal, Diana begins to spend more time with fellow NTAC employee Marco.
    • Following Ryland's shooting, Tom and Diana are assigned to track down TJ Kim and protect Ryland's co-conspirators.
    • NTAC receives a message from the NOVA group, a radical wing of The 4400, who are threatening to take action on October 19th. Tom and Diana attempt to investigate.
    • Using 4400 Gary Navarro, Tom and Diana begin to hunt down the members of the NOVA group. Unbeknownst to them, Gary is leading Tom and Diana in the wrong direction.
    • Diana surmises that Gary has been lying to them the entire time and they successfully arrest him before he can kill Ryland. During Gary's interrogation Tom and Diana learn he's working for Daniel Armand at NOVA.
    • With the help of Shawn, Tom and Diana arrest NOVA member TJ Kim and prepare for the events of October 19th. But what they expect to be a disaster instead turns into a miracle. The NOVA group is clearly sending a message ?they can use their powers for good or for evil.
    • After visiting Dr. Kevin Burkhoff, Diana learns he has been injecting himself with a promicin serum. She agrees to help Burkhoff through his experiments.
    • Diana decides to send Maia to The 4400 Center school.
    • After Maia disappears with a woman claiming to be Sara Rutledge, Diana goes into a panic trying to find her daughter.
    • Plagued by visions of a young girl, Diana discovers that the future abducted her daughter and erased her from everyone's memory. With the help of Tom and Alana, Diana is able to visit Maia and ultimately bring her back to the present.
    • Diana and Tom track down Daniel Armand only to find out that Isabelle has gotten to him first. After seeing what Isabelle can do, Diana is convinced that she will kill again before she is stopped.
    • After tracking down most of the NOVA group, Diana and Tom attempt to arrest Gary Navarro only to find he's fled his house. Concerned that someone tipped him off, Diana and Tom investigate and learn Dennis Ryland has also been pursuing the NOVA group. Although Diana and Tom try to exchange Gary for Alana (who is in custody for warning Navarro), Diana can't handle the guilt and eventually they release them both to live a life on the run.
    • After eating cookies laced with Blink, a new hallucinogenic street drug, Diana has visions of an ex-boyfriend Josh. Her hallucinations make her realize that she has unresolved issues and Diana decides that that she's not being fair to Marco. She ends their relationship.
    • After finding Kevin Burkhoff hiding out with Tess Doerner, Diana begins to feel ill. After she consults a doctor, Diana realizes that she (under Tess' control) has been injecting herself with promicin.
    • Diana and Tom discoverer the Starzl Mutation, a rare abnormality seen only in 123 people in the Seattle area. It turns out that the only way 4400's can have children with abilities is to reproduce with someone with the Starzl Mutation.
    • Diana and Tom learn that Haspel Corp has been injecting participants in an enhanced soldier program with promicin to create an army with 4400 abilities.
    • Diana finds that working with Marco is still awkward.
    • Diana meets April new boyfriend Ben. Soon after, Maia tells Diana that she had a vision that Diana will marry Ben. Although Diana tries to deny it, she and Ben can't hide their attraction for one another and begin sneaking around behind Aprils back.
    • Maia tells April about Ben and Diana blossoming relationship. Under the weight of their guilt, Diana and Ben agree to spend some time apart.
    • After NOVA members manage to escape from NTAC, Diana and Tom attempt to avoid a confrontation between Collier/the 4400 and Ryland/his enhanced army. Along the way, Diana learns that Isabelle has been working with Ryland but more astonishingly, that Collier managed to steal Ryland's entire supply of promicin.
    • After learning that someone plans on distributing promicin publicly, Diana and Tom suspect Collier is behind it all. When they discover Shawn trying to heal a dying Devon, he is brought into NTAC and although Diana and Tom try to get information out of Shawn, they are unsuccessful. Worried The 4400 Center is no longer safe, Diana pulls Maia out of school. While home schooling her daughter, Ben arrives and asks Diana to take Maia and move away with him. While Diana contemplates Ben's offer, she and Tom track down Isabelle at The 4400 Center, engaging in a power struggle that eventually leaves Isabelle without her abilities. With the problem of Collier and the 4400 momentarily behind him Diana and Maia decide to leave for Spain with Ben.

    Meghan Doyle [New Character]

Now the director of NTAC's Seattle division, Meghan Doyle (Jenni Baird) graduated summa cum laude from Yale University with a joint degree in economics and sociology. She studied at Cambridge University as a Marshall Scholar before returning to the states and earning a PhD in political science, specializing in conflict negotiation.

She was recruited by a government think tank where she designed response protocols for natural disasters and terrorist attacks. Integral in the writing of a 2004 document outlining the government's response to the 4400's return, Doyle proved herself an expert in the field. She was nominated by Rebecca Parrish, Director of National Intelligence, to take over for Nina Jarvis at NTAC-Seattle.

    Season 4 Timeline

    Fear Itself

    • Meghan agrees to reinstate Diana Skouris to her old position at NTAC. Meanwhile, Meghan helps Tom investigate a p-positive autistic boy who is causing people's phobias to manifest in dangerous ways. When Garrity is hospitalized after upsetting the boy, Meghan asks Diana to partner with Tom. Later, Meghan visits her father at the hospital after discovering that he is having a relapse. Doctors tell Meghan that her father probably doesn't have long to live.

    The Wrath of Graham
    • Meghan moves in to her office at NTAC, replacing Nina Jarvis. Garrity is skeptical of her at first, but Meghan quickly wins over Tom by giving him information about Alana via Isabelle. Meanwhile, Meghan and the rest of NTAC try to stop a high school student who takes promicin and becomes a messiah to everyone around him.

    Marco Pacella

Marco Pacella (Richard Kahan) is the lead analyst in NTAC's theory room. Alongside fellow "brains" P.J. and Brady, Marco aids Tom Baldwin and Diana Skouris in their investigations by supplying them with in-depth analysis and technological expertise.
His friendship with Diana slowly blossomed into a romance, but the relationship was short-lived. Diana ended their courtship, convinced the two had no real future and believing they were better off as friends.
Marco has helped solved many of NTAC's most difficult cases and continues to be a valuable asset and a respected member of the team.
    Season 4 Timeline

    The Wrath of Graham

    • Marco finds out that Diana's sister April was on a list of people who obtained promicin.
    • Later, Marco hypothesizes that Collier has the ability to take away the abilities of "extra crispies," non-4400's who take Promicin.

    Seasons 1-3 Timeline

    • Marco begins to piece together the "big picture" of what the future had in mind when returning The 4400. Everything that the returnees do -- good or bad -- has a ripple effect on future events that, presumably, will result in some final good.
    • Following the "awakening" of Kevin Burkhoff, Marco proposes that perhaps the brilliant neuroscientist is the one who made the powers of The 4400 possible.
    • What started out as a professional relationship seems to progress and Marco and Diana begin to spend more time with each other.
    • Growing closer to Diana, Marco suggests that maybe her daughter, Maia, would be happier in the 4400 Center school, where she would be around children like herself.
    • Marco assists Diana in her search for the truth about TJ Kim's murder.
    • Worried about Diana, Marco does everything he can to help find Maia. Working with Diana and Tom, Marco searches Maia's diary for clues regarding her whereabouts.
    • Marco manages to track down Maia Rutledge, discovering that the future returned her to 1847.
    • Marco is surprised to learn that Diana was once engaged to Josh. When Diana later calls Marco over to her house he realizes it can't be good news. She intends to end their relationship.
    • Their relationship officially over, Marco does his best to cordially work with Diana at NTAC.
    • Marco uncovers the connection between the three murder victims in Tom and Diana's case ?they all have something known as the Starzl Mutation. He further assists the investigation when he is able to connect one of Haspel Corp's recruits to the murders. Although Marco is essential in helping the case, he still struggles with his new platonic relationship with Diana.
    • After finding a journal in one of Jordan Collier's many real estate acquisitions, Marco is put on the task of analyzing the handwriting and content. He confirms that the notebook does in fact belong to Collier and calls NTAC's attention to a phrase written over and over again: "the war for the future will be fought in the past." Marco surmises that the diary is a prophecy.

    Np SpyeFox,

Its nice to post up on some of the 4400 Characters, for new viewers; "Your not alone, you all have to deal with us"(Jordon Collier-The 4400). This really is a great summer tv show, I've just finished episode 3; it really sux when Audrey Parker's caretaker's son killed her. She does not deserves it, at all; but in the end she did something helpful in return I am very intruged about Cassie, what does Kyle's ability really do; I'm still not sure.

But like to see more of Isabelle, she is awesome; as well the entire cast. Too many good characters are kinda hard to pick out, which one.
