Bernice Liu (廖碧兒), Sonija Kwok (郭羨妮), Kent Cheng (鄭則士), Lee Heung Kam (李香琴) and other artists were present at the blessing ceremony of TVB’s new series Prosperous Times Outstanding Men <盛世人傑> today. Sonija revealed that she will be portraying the stepmother of Bernice and Matthew Ko (高鈞賢) in the series, and laughed that she is quite happy that she will be called a mother. Although the dialogue is in formal language, Sonija is fortunate that her Chinese literature is up to par, so she believes she will be able to handle it. When the topic of reports that Michael Tao (陶大宇) and his ex-wife were seen together with their dog, Sonija, who was caught up in the gossip about their split, declined to respond.

Speaking of the recent reports on the obscene photographs of artists being posted online, Sonija expressed that she will not be looking at them, and believed that the photos are not real. 2. Sunny's character assists Di Ren Jie (Kent) in solving cases and protecting important officials. He is paired up with Bernice, they are a bickering pair and often work together in investigation.

Because in the series there are many fighting scenes, causing pain for Bernice.

Queenie and Bernice yesterday filmed outdoor scenes for new series 《盛世人傑》. Because the weather was cold, they both had heat packets under the costumes to stay warm. Western girl Bernice, recently had to film many fighting scenes, she says: "lately the weather has been extra cold. Just like today, early in the morning I had to film a fighting scene, fought so much that my hand hurts, have film in many places." I am really looking forward to this series. I have seem some pics of this series before, but only did I know now that it is set during the Tang Dynasty, my favorite era in costume dramas. I am even more happy to learn that it is set during Empress Wu reign, but I think it will focus more on the Di Ren Jia since that is the name. Quite disappointed that TVB doesn't do anymore historical series anymore, but I guess it's better than nothing. Some people think the series will be about poltical intrigue and others say its about case solving. Personally, knowing me, I love series based on historical content rather than case solving. Don't get me wrong, I love mystery series, but just not the ancient type as much as the modern type. I just finished Gentle Crackdown II and I must say that the simplicity of the cases did not impress me that much. Even in modern TVB serials, their cases aren't as interesting and suspenceful as they use to be.

Anyway, getting back to the point, I am really looking forward to this series, especially when one of the cast is Leila Tong, one of my favorite actresses. I am also shocked and happy when I knew she will be playing Shuang Guan Wan'Er. Her character will be very smart and intelligent and like others say a mix or good and evil. Quite complex characters are usually very interesting. I am also looking forward to her role. According to the pics, I think Tracy Ip looks the most beautiful in ancient costumes. The costumes for the women is very nice, but it is a bit overdone. I mean its too flowery and too bright. I saw one pic of Leila in a female costume and it made her look like a doll. I mean I really like the period of Tang, including it's costumes simply because they look very sexy compared to the other dynasties, but just like to exaggerate everything. I hope that they will follow history, but that it unlikely. However, I think there is a higher chance that TVB will produce a case solving mysteries instead of the poltical intrigue I'm anticipating. Either way, I will still watch it because of the characters and era it is set in.

Just wanted to comment that this series has so many actors and actresses. The cast seems very random, meaning TVB just seemed to throw some stars into a series. I don't think any of the cast members have collaborated before.

kidd, no you are not the only one who thinks TVB exaggerated the hairstyles..i noticed it too know that you mentioned it...i didn't like sonija's haristyle when i first saw her picture..it makes her looks every old...there is one pic in which bernice's hairstyle has a big ring and i think it's looks ridiculous...as for the others i didn't notice until you mention, and i do agree w/ you that the hair is not the best...tvb should just make it simplier and it will still look natural and beautiful on the ladies..

also i thought the costumes were a little elaborate as well...too many flowers on the clothes...tvb tends to use those attires alot these days and it makes it really ugly...sorry, no offense

The scene above is about our whole family is being arrested and sent to prison. The prop shackle I'm wearing is very light, but for close up filming they put on really heavy ones and I have to cry. I have a lot of crying scenes in this series.

Regarding Tang Dynasty costume, I'm not an expert about them and I'm sure TVB isn't 100% accurate. However, elaborate hairstyle has always been TVB interpretation of Tang Dynasty including other series.
