Do you see what Brit Brit's influence has on the children of the world!? A 9-year-old girl from Peru pretty much copied Brit's "Toxic" video shot-by-shot, outfit-by-outfit and move-by-move (insert THIS FACE here).

The thing is, she didn't do it with just a camcorder in her parents' garage. This had a bigger budget than Brit's "Gimme More" video. This mini cooper is expensive! My guess is that homegirl's parents paid the bills for this mess. Or maybe Roman Polanski is making music videos now? Really, I can't.

And when you get to the part with the boy on a motorcycle, just shut down your computer, pull the power cord out of the wall and go weep in the dark. Actually, you'll probably start weeping right at the beginning.

Well, at least she lip-synchs better than Brit. Okay, back to weeping.

Why, why would any parents allow their 9 year old child to do this type of video? It's such an overtly sexual song and music video. This whole thing is plain creepy and wrong.

i think parents in europe and south america just have a whole different set of morals. when i was in italy, i saw a little girl, max age 10, walking at night with her parents dressed like a little street walker; with a scarf for a shirt, tiny little mini skirt, heels, and make up. ewwww.

Keep in mind that no matter how small Europe is, it is very diverse in terms of culture. And I suspect that is just as true in the case of South America.

Second - I know very little about contemporary standards in Italy, but what you described doesn't sound like a typical Italian family or a typical Italian 10-year-old girl. You appear to be drawing very broad, general conclusions based on very limited experience.

well, i can only comment based on my observations (no matter how limited or broad), and that is why i prefaced my comment with "i think" instead of just making the statement.

it's just that while i was in italy, i saw a woman in her 60s with her bum cheeks hanging out and other very scantily clad women and nobody really seemed to notice. while in the US, if we saw the aforementioned woman, people would at least comment, or if we saw the 10-yr, someone would have called the authorities. i can only base my conclusions on what i observed of the general public around me.
