Hi, could some one explain to me why does vincent come back to life because all I saw in the end was vincent died, yinyin gets poisoned and dies, then the very next scene is where mei nian becomes the empress and she talks about the monument without any words engraved on it. R u guys talking about when vincent fakes his death or did I watch a version with scenes cut from it?

Me and Lady zhu ge is in different episodes upon watching this series. I am like in the beginning like 12episode. I been posting that vincent will die, since that I been seeing throughout this post, but I like his character, because I always hates a good character to die and has a bad outcome.

I have two more episodes to go in this series and Vincent/Jun Xian has never actually died and come back to life. It was only assumed that he died when he went over the cliff and the bomb exploded. At the end I think he just dies.


What I'm wondering about is...pretty soon after Ying Ying became an official concubine of the emperor, she was congratulated on being pregnant, but her "pregnancy" hasn't progressed at all since and the series is almost over so I'm wondering if the director just forgot about that or what?

Jun Xian didn't come back to life, he died at the front of the palace when he killed himself ! The unmarked monument was his tombstone.

Vincent played two character....Jun Xian and the Black Smith ! The blacksmith is someone else who happen to looks like Jun Xian. That's why the maid took him back to the palace because he looks/remind them of Jun Xian.

i think wu mei niang is her name before she beocmes the emperor and wu ze tian is the name after she becomes the emperor.

Wu Mei Niang is supposed to be her real name. It means Charming Woman. Wu Ze Tian is her assumed name after she becomes emperor, I think. It kind of means Heavenly Wu. Both are Mandarin spelling.

Yep, and I just finished this series and her "pregnancy" was never mentioned again.

Anyway, this was a pretty enjoyable series if you discount major lack of historical accuracy. It was so sad when Jun Xian killed himself. So many people were technically responsible for his death because they kept trying to force him to be emperor.

The blacksmith who looked exactly like Jun Xian that Shangguan Wan Er brought back to the palace actually became one of Wu Ze Tian's concubines. It's interesting how the series incorporated that at the end.

Historically, Li Shi Min (Tang Tai Zong) gave her the name Wu Mei Niang when she became his concubine. Some say that her real name was Wu Zhao. I believe Wu Ze Tian was a name she took on after she became emperor although she actually ruled under the name of Emperor Shengshen.

See, on the version I watched, there was no showing of any black smith that looked like Jun Xian, they just completely cut out that part, oh, so the lady that was the maid of Wu Ze Tian after she becomes the empress is actually that little girl Shang Guan Wan Er? Thats pretty cool, at first I suspected it but didn't really know cause apparently they cut off the last few episodes and just showed the last part.

haha finished it in 2 days ... until make me found excuse not go to office haha

uhm i didnt hate anyone in this series ... i mean yinyin did whatever she did coz she think thats the right thing
and yupe .. poor xiou dou ... hopefully he got peace in heaven ^_^

anyway theres something i wanna ask ...

in the ending song there's a scene where jun xian ang mei niang kind of dancing in the some cave ...
where do you .. somohow know ... which episode is that ?

I read a book i bought in SG abt her and it said Wu Zhou, not Zhao. Literally, Mei in the series is translated as "pretty/charming" and niang means"woman", as in mother. Like in Lady Yang, Yang Gui Fei was not her real name (real name was Yang Yu Huan).

Her daughter died mysteriously but she had 2 sons after her daughter.

Different sources give different names. Some say Zhao and others say Zhou and still others say that none of them are confirmed.

Yeah, Li Jun Xian is made up. Historically, Wu Ze Tian supposedly really loved Li Zhi, the Crown Prince who later became emperor, which this series obviously didn't show. From what I've read, Wu Ze Tian actually killed her own baby daughter and blamed it on the then empress Wang. This would seem logical since otherwise, why was empress Wang deposed while Wu Ze Tian climbed higher and higher? Wu Ze Tian had (at least) 4 sons and another daughter (princess Tai Ping) after her first daughter "mysteriously" died.

it is super draggy as it is 40 episodes and loads of talking but the love stroy btw the 2 is very nice..

they didnt get together in the end...
