She improve a lot I think because of hard work.
I think you can either take the criticism and then improve yourself or you can go heck with it. It is nice to see Charmaine to be able to tell the media and doubter they were wrong that she can act.... now she only need to win the best actress award

I agree with ya, Charmaine has improve a lot everytime she appears in different series. I like her role in Country Spirit bk in 2001.
I didn't know she featured in films as well ?

Omigosh, do you mean to say DIF4 was Charmaine's first series? Ok, I'm impressed. I didn't think she was exceptional in there, but it's really good work for a newcomer.
She's a good actress, but I just wish she'd stop pouting so much in her shows. And she's always lowering her head to look up demurely that I'm surprised she doesn't have a permanent crick in her neck. I remember seeing a movie with her and Julian Cheung inside. But she wasn't very outstanding, and for some reason, her high-pitched voice in there irritated me.

Her first series was Time Off. Is she that good an actress? Improved yes, but good as in so good? She's sometimes good sometimes not. In PITNOL I am beginning to be very irritated with her dependance on the character of Sai Hin. I thought she was much better a few series before, these days she's too clingy.

By the way I am convinced she is dating Benny Chan. Don't ask me how I am convinced, I do not believe all dinners were just with a guy friend. Never heard her going out to dinners with Michael Tong.

Jeez, I'm quite shock to see such a tiny Charmaine thread here.
I guess there's very little Charmaine-loving in this forum.  To Funn Lim: Her dependance on Sai Hin and clingyness is strictly written in her character, unless you mean she depended on Steven to carry out her lines. Btw, I'm quite convinced she is dating Benny as well. I kinda hope so, they make a cute couple. Bump to the beginning.

haha, guess i should write something here since i'm a big fan of charmaine! well big as in i love watching her series, not as in i know a lot about her... i'm very outdate
my favourite series of hers will be PITNOL and Country Spirit. It was when I watched CS that I notice how big her improvement was! Funn Lim --> Like baobao said, characteristics are from the script. oh well acting is an art, and different people have different views on art... but i guess a great actor will have a good comment from general public, like leslie cheung ^^;; |

Eeehhh.... I don't really like Charmaine Sheh. The only reason I came here was because I just wanted to add in on for any people wondering if she's dating Benny Chan (I'm a big Benny fan. *you should see his thread at the Actors section). I personally don't think that they are dating. The rumors are entirely just that-- rumors. go here:
