Belinda Lee is waiting for her beau to propose marriage

Wedding bells may toll soon for local host-actress Belinda Lee, that’s if her boyfriend pops the question. Following the slew of celebrity marriages over the past few months (Fann-Chris, Cavin Soh, Charlyn Lin, and Junyang-Candyce), it seems like tying the knot is the latest fad in our local showbiz industry.

And Belinda is feeling the heat. “Everybody’s been asking me the same question since both Fann Wong and Cavin Soh got married recently too!”

She confessed to be seeing “someone I like very much now.” Though she believes that one should never get hitched for the sake of doing so, she nonetheless grumbled, in mock frustration, “Waiting for that person to propose to me lah!”

The typically vivacious and chatty lady suddenly morphed into a bashful little girl, saying, “I feel that he is waiting for me to propose to him, however, I am actually waiting for him…

Charmaine Sheh storms out midway during interview

In a rare moment, the ice queen had a meltdown.

The Hong Kong TVB actress, who was the station’s highest-earning actress last year, was at the launch of TVB general manager Stephen Chan’s new book last Sunday. But her rumoured love triangle once again became the main attraction.

Since their third collaboration, within the last two years, in Arrival of Princess, speculations have been rife that Charmaine and Moses developed feelings for each other on the set. Moses was previously linked to Bernice, the Chinese-Canadian model-turned-actress.

When Charmaine dropped hints that the Bernice-Moses affair was still going on, and that she’s gearing up to attend their wedding, a reportedly angered Bernice retorted, “I think it’s not worth it, being talked…

Ekin, last seen in the Pang brothers’ CGI action fest The Storm Warriors, has been dating actress Yoyo Mung since September 2006, after a seven-year relationship with singer Gigi Leung.

“I’ve considered marriage too, but first let’s look at how Jordan is doing,” he laughed. “I think it’s time to think about it. Yoyo hasn’t rushed me, as we’re both busy.”

He added that he did not know if Jordan would be a father soon amid recent speculations that his friend’s fiancée is already pregnant.

Ekin, a Gundam action figure enthusiast, was a guest at the movie…

Joseph Cheng not giving up singing despite criticism

The critics have been harsh about his singing chops, but that will not kill Joseph Cheng’s passion for music.

The actor-model’s first foray into singing last September with a five-song EP Sing a Song was generally panned by critics, but the man insists he will continue doing the thing he loves.

In town last Friday to promote Sing a Song, he says he hopes to release a full album someday, though he admits he was not born with a flair for singing.

In the EP, the Taiwanese drama idol even challenged himself to dancing, showing his moves in the title track’s music video with good friend and fellow model Lin Chi-ling.

“Singing and dancing are both difficult, but singing and dancing at the same time is the toughest! I’m not born with a talent for singing or dancing, so I have to be extra hardworking.”

Joseph’s dance teacher was…

Star Awards 2010: Elvin vs. Yangtian for Best Actor

Elvin Ng should stick to smiling rather than sneering on the telly.

Thanks to his portrayal of the naïve, kindhearted beefcake Tarzan in the blockbuster drama Together, the 29-year-old actor is now nominated for Best Actor at the upcoming Star Awards, joining his Together co-star Dai Yangtian and other veterans Chen Hanwei, Tay Ping Hui and Brandon Wong.

The nomination, his first, is no piddling feat, considering his performance in the show was right after he nearly committed career suicide, by which we mean his widely-panned baddie turn (his virgin attempt at playing a villain) in mega dram and flop The Ultimatum where he mostly growled and sulked throughout.

In an earlier interview prior to Together’s debut in November last year, he said that he hoped his role would win over the viewers. And with his Best Actor nom, it looks like he’s one step closer to redeeming…
