Hong Kong celebrities such as Ray Liu, Nancy Sit, Irene Wan, Wong Hei, Zhang Yu and TVB station’s general manager, Stephan Chan, lent their support to their show and belted out a series of melodic tunes.

They specially flew in to participate in the charity show at the invitation of the organizers and friends. First-time charity show…

First, there was the news of actor Adrian Pang departing from our local googlebox to return to the theatre full time. Now radio jockey Daniel Ong is taking an “indefinite break” from the airwaves.

The 34-year-old confirmed that he will be leaving 987FM, the station where he has been working for the last decade in his 15 year-long radio career. He intends to do freelance hosting and voiceover work, which he says will allow him the “opportunity to be a full-time dad.”

It’s a statement not to be taken lightly. Both he and Jaime were raised single-handedly by their mothers. “My dad left when I was a few months old. I promised myself I’d never ever do that. I want to be there for my daughter…

In the interview, Alan revealed that he is “not a person who enjoys the night scene” and feels that “visiting a pub is like going to work”. Anthony then responded and shared that he “feels it is dumb when he sees a 50-year-old man bring younger girls to the clubs” and believes that they are “wasting time and money to create a superficial life”.

Wu Chun won’t show flesh in new movie, says 14 Blades director

Fans eagerly anticipating seeing the hunky Wu Chun topless in his newest movie will be disappointed. The most the Taiwanese singer-actor from boyband Fahrenheit will expose in period blockbuster, 14 Blades, is his navel region.

In town recently to promote the movie, Hong Kong director Daniel Lee said that including the former gym instructor in his diverse cast just to have him go topless would be very low-grade. The movie also stars Donnie Yen, Zhao Wei, Kate Tsui and Singapore’s own movie star Qi Yuwu.

Set in the late Ming era, the movie centres on the imperial court where a power-hungry eunuch tries to topple the Emperor by buying over the incumbent’s elite team of secret agents. One loyalist (Donnie Yen) is betrayed and then hunted by his former colleagues.

Even during the pre-production stages, the film received a lot of attention with its muscled male stars of…

She returned last year with a movie, 72 Tenants of Prosperity, and a drama series, Born Rich.

Jerry Yan finds Ella "very sexy"

The most androgynous member of Taiwanese girl group S.H.E. is sexy enough to make heartthrob Jerry Yan blush.

Appearing together with his co-star Ella Chen on Variety Big Brother last Tuesday to promote their new idol drama Down With Love, Jerry, who seldom guests on variety shows, seemed keen to shed his aloof image, laughing along with Ella and host Chang Fei. The two actors brought a wedding cake on the show and joked that they’re getting married. To which Ella later cracked, “We’ll divorce the day after tomorrow.”

In a rare appearance, Ella, who’s known for her tomboyish mannerisms, wore three-inch-high heels, but the media noticed she was moving warily. She laughed, “I’m not used to being feminine, but in order to not make Jerry feel like he’s marrying a man, I specially wore these.”

Her male co-star, however, complimented her beautiful legs, in a scene in…

Twins reunite to film Lunar New Year greeting

The long-awaited reunion of Hong Kong Cantopop duo, Twins, who temporarily “split” when Gillian Chung (also known as Ah Jiao) went into hiding during the 2008 Edison Chen sex photos furore, is finally official.

Gillian and Charlene Choi (also known as Ah Sa) shot a Lunar New Year calendar for Emperor Entertainment Group, and also filmed a short New Year greeting for the upcoming movie, Hot Summer Days (in which Charlene guest stars) where the pair addressed audiences with “Hi everybody, we are Twins!”

The girls’ chemistry didn’t betray their two-year-long absence from working together. Decked in matching red and white outfits, Gillian held the microphone for Charlene as she spoke about her guest role in the movie.

It was reported that Charlene personally called the director of the movie and her good friend, Wing Shya, when she heard about the movie and grudgingly said, “Why didn’t you find…
