Mark Lee has gone where no Ah Beng has gone before, again.
The local comedian was the museum ambassador for Explore Singapore!, the local museum outreach initiative, twice in 2007 and 2008. And this year, the scrawny pock-faced funnyman adds another feather to his hat with his newly-appointed role as one of the two brand ambassadors of the newly-opened integrated resort (IR), Resorts World Sentosa or RWS. The other celebrity spokesperson is Michelle Chia.
“Mark was chosen because he’s well-known not only for his humour and wit, but also as a family man,” said RWS’ director for resort marketing, Ms Angela Lam at last Monday’s press conference at Hard Rock Hotel.
Actress Michelle was described as “a modern woman. She’s very welcoming and engaging. And she is popular with both the English and Chinese speaking crowd, particularly among young adults and couples.”
