Adding to the controversy surrounding his alleged affairs with other women which are said to be a dozen, there are now speculations that disgraced local filmmaker Jack Neo’s marriage to Mdm Irene Kng is actually his second.
An industry insider revealed that Jack had been married to another woman, who was not from showbiz, in April1981. His then-wife subsequently contracted cancer and was hospitalised to receive treatment.
The source said that shortly after she was admitted into hospital, Jack had divorced her. He could not withstand the mental stress and decided to leave her.
Jack, 50, met his current wife, Irene, at a departmental store and the pair tied the knot in October 1998.
