Tay Ping Hui is getting married, again.

However, this time, Ping Hui is doing it for work, not for love.

Earlier in June, Ping Hui tied the knot with long-time girlfriend Edna in a low-profiled wedding.

This time, Ping Hui is getting ‘married’ to Malaysian actress, Chris Tong, for his upcoming drama The Family Court.

xinmsn visits the stars at the filming location to check out how they are doing.

In The Family Court, Ping Hui plays a lawyer and swinging bachelor who finally settles down with Chris’ character after several hiccups in their relationship.

For realistic purposes, the crew even placed a wedding portrait of the two stars outside the banquet hall, causing some people walking past to think that Ping Hui was really holding his wedding dinner there and Chris was his real wife.

Ever since getting hitched (the real one in June), a radiant-looking Ping Hui told xinmsn that life as a newly-wed is not much different from before, except that now he has someone sleeping beside him.

When asked if strangers had went up to him to congratulate him on the streets, Ping Hui said, “I’ve met a few; usually my wife would leave me to chat with my fans a while. She’s used to it already.”

“Sometimes, I introduce her as my daughter because she looks like a student in casual wear!” Ping Hui quips.

Ping Hui also said that he is relieved that his fans have been very supportive of his marriage.

The 40-year-old Ping Hui likes to refer to himself as an ‘uncle’, so co-star Chris plays along and calls Ping Hui ‘Uncle Tay’.

The 26-year-old former beauty queen told xinmsn that The Family Court is her first show with so many emotional scenes and although she felt awkward, she was thankful for Uncle Tay’s assistance.

“Working with Uncle Tay is very comfortable because he is very good at leading the scenes and I learned a lot from him.”

Ping Hui also praised his new partner, saying that she is a very professional actress.

“Her acting is pretty good; despite working 15 to 18 hours a day and doing so many scenes and dialogues, she doesn’t complain at all.”
