Taiwanese host Jacky Wu is probably finding hosting a much easier job than running a business.
His company, Alpha Photonitek Corporation has reportedly let go of some staff and is now left with 10 workers versus the 40 that it had when it was doing well.
Salaries for the workers were also delayed and it was said that half the number of workers at Alpha did not receive their wages.
When asked, Jacky disputed the report, saying that the company is currently undergoing restructuring and not a crisis.
He clarified that the remaining workers will be paid their salaries once the restructuring is over.
With many paying close attention to Jacky’s business ventures, the funny man admitted that he was a bit sad at the caustic rumours.
“It’s like everyone is looking to me to make a joke out of myself. I am the sole investor in Alpha and I’m already going to celebrate the company’s third anniversary.”
“The company is fine; I’m the one who is having financial problems. Don’t forget I have taxes to handle and my expenditure is huge.
With only three programmes on hand, Jacky’s monthly income is said to have dipped to around TWD4.16m (S$210,000)
