Many people I know didnt like this film. However the meaning entrenched in it was the factor that really got to me. It was one of those films that leave you satisfied after watching it and feel like it has given you something beyond entertainment.

Yeah the cinematography's great. I like their use of colors.
To sashayln: Hi! The movie version that was released here in the Phil. translated the word 'tian xia' into 'All under heaven' :)

This movie was ok but I just have on beef about this movie. The fight scenes. All of them were unbelievable. I don't care how skilled you are in martial arts, you dont move and fly around like birds.
How can I identify with the characters if all of them have superhuman capabilites. Like the ablity to take on 100's people at one time. Or jump 50 to 70 feet in the air and fly around like a bird

Question - did Sky (Donnie Yen) die in the film? I didn't think so, because he staged his death with Wu Ming in front of the royal guards.. and when asked how he is doing later on in the film, Wu Ming said he is "recovering." So that tells me he wasn't quite dead.

the cinematography is outstanding, and the sword play very graceful. i am disappointed in their translation of "tian xia" as "our land" so very inadequate, it belittles the concept of "the kingdom" (which makes a better translation) for which so many lives were lost and sacrificed.

i agree...the color the director used fascinated me so much. i love all the characters in the movie even the First Emperor himself. Thumbs up!

This movie is a wuxia genre so therefore it would DEFINITELY involved flying martia art scenes. No one goes and watch a supernatural film an d criticized the characters superhuman abilities.
This movie is asolutely fantastic and beautiful.
