Biography

Crystal Liu Yi Fei was born August 25th, 1987 and is a Chinese actress and singer. She was born at Tongji Hospital in Wuhan, China. Her father was a 1st secretary in the Chinese Embassy and a university professor, while her mother was a dancer and stage performer. Crystal Liu Yi Fei began modeling at the age of 8, and was trained in singing, dancing, and playing the piano. She moved to the United States at age 10 and lived there for 4 years, attending the Louis Pasteur Middle School. She returned to China in 2002 to pursue her acting career, and was accepted into the Beijing Film Academy at age 15. Crystal Liu Yi Fei has been in a number of TV shows and movies, with her first appearance being the 2002 TV series "The Story of a Noble Family." In 2008, she starred in the film "The Forbidden Kingdom," alongside popular actors Jackie Chan and Jet Li. Crystal Liu Yi Fei appeared in a Jimmy Lin music video, and obtained a recording contract in August 2005. She released an album in 2006.
