Plot:
A little girl of four named Zheng Hui Yuan was abandoned at a train station by her mother's friend. Her mom died shortly after her dad disappeared. Before Hui Yuan's mom died, Hui Yuan's grandfather came to see her mom. He gave Hui Yuan's mom a lot of money and told her not to find Hui Yuan's dad anymore. After that, Hui Yuan's mom became ill and died. Her friends, Mdm Song and Mdm Lin took the money from the grandfather and abandoned Hui Yuan.

15 years later Mdm Lin is sucessful as a business woman and has three children, two sons and a daughter. Mdm Song is constantly relying on men and being dumped by them. Song Xiu Zhi is her daughter and was Hui Yuan's childhood friend. Xiu Zhi is sick and tired of her mom and her actions.

Hui Yuan is now Yu Min and was abandoned by her adoptive parents. With her is Zheng Biao, her stepbrother, who has kidney failure. With her brother's medical bills and rent of the place they're staying at, Yu Min has to work hard hours to pay all the bills. Yu Min also have crush on her brother's doctor, who is Mdm Lin's oldest son, Min Zhe. He is waiting for his ex-girlfriend to come back to Korea even though she broke up with him.

Mdm Lin's youngest, Sheng Zhe, son kidnapped her dog, Sha Sha so he could get some money. He lost the dog and chased after him. Sha Sha damaged Yu Min's fish and Sheng Zhe had to stay at Yu Min's place and work to pay the debt. They started out hating each other because Yu Min was mean to Sheng Zhe and Sheng Zhe ruined Yu Min's fish. But Sheng Zhe started to warm up on Yu Min because he realized that she is mean and tough because she has to or else she could not survive raising her and her brother.

Min Zhe ended up taking Sheng Zhe home, along with Sha Sha. He later arranged a to fake an engagement with Yu Min so his mother could stop peckering with blind dates. Yu Min, unable to pay her rent, had to stay with the Lins. Mdm Lin thinks Yu Min is 22 years old and is a graduate of Min Zhe's old university. With Zheng Biao's help, Yu Min could go back to scool also and is attending the school that Sheng Zhe and Xiu Zhi is at.

Mdm Song and Xiu Zhi also stayed at the Lins now and Xiu Zhi suspected Yu Min is Hui Yuan because a teddy bear that was in Yu Min's possessions. Xiu Zhi witnessed Mdm Song's and Lin's crime but did not say anything. Yu Min's dad, who lost his memory 15 years ago and that is why he did not contact his wife and daughter, found out about his family and searched for them. He found Xiu Zhi, who really liked Yu Min's dad because she craved for a father, lied to Yu Min's dad, saying that Yu Min died ten years ago. Yu Min's dad grieved and Xiu Zhi and her mom took this chance to shove themselves into Yu Min's dad's life so he can treat Xiu Zhi like a daughter. Xiu Zhi's plan suceed and Yu Min treats Xiu Zhi like his own daughter, buying her things and planning her education.

Meanwhile, Mdm Lin found out that Yu Min is actually 19 and is of a low status, so she kicked Yu Min and Zheng Biao out of her house. Yu Min disappeared and the Lin brothers searched for them for five years.

Five years later the two brother found Yu Min and Zheng Biao. Yu Min is working hard as ever and so is Zheng Biao. Yu Min met her dad one day and saved his life. He met her and liked her. Yu Min has potential of being good at the work he does and so he took Yu Min in her company. Xiu Zhi graduated from a university abroad and is back in Korea to work in Yu Min's dad's interior design company also. She is actually the boss of Yu Min and tries hard on picking on Yu Min to get her fired.

Min Zhe is still a doctor. Sheng Zhe is the same as always. But when Mdm Lin became ill and had to stay at a hospital, Sheng Zhe worked on his mother's cereal company. There Sheng Zhe matured and became a good person. Instead of being the spoil, good for nothing son, he became good in business.

The rest of the series is how the truth about Yu Min is revealed and the reactions of of the people. Min Zhe was the first to figure out about the relationship of Yu Min and her dad. He confronted his mom and she told him. Out of guilt, Mdm Lin wanted to tell Yu Min the truth. The reason Mdm Lin was sick was because she found out the 19 year old girl she kicked out was the little kid she abandoned 15 years ago.

In the end, everybody knew what had happened. Xiu Zhi lies was uncovered and she no longer had the love of Yu Min's father. Yu Min, now Hui Yuan again, took her place as her father's daughter.

Relationships:
Yu Min - Min Zhe - Sheng Zhe: Sheng Zhe fell in love with Yu Min during the time Yu Min was at his house. She helped him a lot and was a support to him. Unfortunately, Yu Min liked Min Zhe. She was all giddy about him and Sheng Zhe hurted seeing the two of them together. Min Zhe did started liking Yu Min also. But in the end, Yu Min was with Sheng Zhe because she fell in love with him. Their relationship faced a major problem when Yu Min's dad found out that Sheng Zhe's mom abandoned his daughter at a train station. Yu Min's dad forbidden Yu Min to see any of the Lins again. Sheng Zhe went to the US ot study for a year. A year later, Yu Min was allowed to be with Sheng Zhe.

Sheng Zhe - Xiu Zhi: Xiu Zhi had a major crush on Sheng Zhe. He was really nice to her when they were little and she fell in love with him. Of course, the two of them did not end up together or else I would've stopped watching this series. But I think Xiu Zhi's crush on Sheng Zhe was a nice touch in this series.

Performances:

Jung Da Bin as Zheng Hui Yuan/ Han Yu Min- I like this girl, she's not pretty but she's cute. She's good at playing Yu Min at 19 and Yu Min at 24. And her crying scenes were great.

Yoon Gae Sang as Lin Sheng Zhe- He's new and I like him. He's hotter that Kim Jae Won. At first I though Kim Jae Won was cuter, but I like Yoon Gae Sang better, especially when he got his haircut. He too was good at playing Sheng Zhe at a young age and Sheng Zhe who's older.

Kim Jae Won as Lin Min Zhe- This guy was pretty cute. I've seen him in a lot of other series. He did well as Min Zhe. Min Zhe an obedient son and a good doctor and Kim Jae Won did a good job portraying him. And he was good at the scene when he found out about how his mom stole money from his friend's mom. He was yelling at her and he looked really pissed.

Kim Min Hee as Song Xiu Zhi- Kim Min Hee is very pretty. I did hate her even though she was cruel to Yu Min. I actually pity Xiu Zhi. Her mom is so promiscious and she has to put up with wives of her mom's boyfriend coming into their house and beating her mom. And they beat Xiu Zhi too. The little girl who played Xiu Zhi when she was little was cute too. She was in My Name Is Kim Sam Soon. The little girl looks a lot like Kim Min Hee.

Zheng Biao-This guy was hilarious. I don't know the actor's name, but he was really funny. And he's pretty hot. I love the character. He acted really gay. He was all hugging Sheng Zhe all the time. It's like Sheng Zhe and him are a married couple. He was one of the characters who was funny after the five years apart thing. Didn't seem to grow up a bit. The actor was also good on the serious scenes. I like Zheng Biao. Very funny character.

Comments:

I really like this series. It was really funny. The villians aren't hateful and the scenes are bright so you get this light-hearted feeling. The big problem is the five years later thing. I love it when the the people were 19, well Min Zhe wasn't 19, but you get what I mean. When they were younger the series was really funny. I was cracking up. Especially when Sheng Zhe was calling his brother because he had to work for Yu Min and then Yu Min was looking in the window of her shop to see what he was doing. There was spray paint on the window and there was an O and she put her face in the center of the O and gave him the evil eye. That was hilarious.

Favorite Scenes:

- The last scene was cool. It was like deja vu. Sheng Zhe met Yu Min again one year later the same way they met 6 or 7 years ago. Plus there was this thing in the very end with the credits where all the stars said some kind of greeting in Korean. I didn't understand but it was interesting to hear the cast's real voices.
- I love the scene where Yu Min was chasing Sheng Zhe with some kind of sea animal that looks like a worm and in the end all of that creature landed on the floor. Sheng Zhe also fell on top of Yu Min on that part and they accidently kissed or something.
- All the scenes with Sheng Zhe and Yu Min in the night just talking. That was romantic. Espically when Yu Min sleeps and Sheng Zhe is staring at her.
-I like seeing Sheng Zhe working at the company. He was good at his mom's business and looked very hot in a suit.
-I love the scene when Min Zhe confronts Mdm Song about Yu Min. That guy looks really hot angry.
-There are many other scenes that I like, just can't remember it all.

Music:

The music was great. I loved the theme song and all the instrumental versions of it. If I could recall correctly, the sub theme song us sang by Yoon Gae Sang. I think there's a YouTube video of it where Sheng Zhe is singing that song to Yu Min. I don't know if that really was a scene in My 19 Year Old....since I got a dubbed version, but the part is still romantic. So yeah, the music was awsome. If I have a credit card I would buy it.

Conclusion:

This is a very good comedy. It may not be as great as My Name Is Kim Sam Soon or Full House, but it has it's own little originality about it. I would recommend this to anybody.
