A.K.A. My Lovely Samsoon 1. Meaning of Her Name Although Korean consists of a different grammar and alphabet (and therefore sound) from Chinese, 50% of its vocabulary words have a Chinese derivation. In Korean, each Chinese character is assigned one or two native syllables and used interchangably ('hanja' in Korean, 'kanji' in Japanese). Sam-Soon is a name that has Chinese derivations, a traditional name. Modern names like 'Hee-Jin' sound feminine and are not derived from Chinese characters. ...

Even though i'm HAPPY that Samsoon and Hyun ended up together. They're so cute and sweet!

I wanna add in one thing. When u think in Hee Jin's perspective, it's really quite pitiful.

You were asked by your bf's mom to leave for treatment & she promised you she would accept you after treatment's done[but she goes back on her word].

You lied to your bf that you're gonna study abroad so as not to break his heart again (his bro&sis-in-law passed away. you have 35% operation success chance! which means you're very likely to die too!).

Thus, you had to go abroad and suffer alone. (imagine how much she cried in the plane, knowing she may not return alive! and didn't even get to say goodbye to her 8yrs bf!!!!!)

Worse, you return and your "bf" falls for another girl...!

I had a long distance relationship with my boyfriend too, he was studying in Australia for 3.5yrs. Communication is really important, but I truly felt Hee-Jin's pain.

It's realistic.... that feelings do change, even if we can't help it! 3 years without ANY communication is so tough, especially when you leave without a word. sigh.... It's a good reminder for people not to take things for granted. How you view things and how others view things are different.
Jin-heon having his pride refusing to admit he likes Sam soon (lots of guys do that), and then hurts her repeatedly! and his guilt towards ex-girl friend.

i really love the humour...... but i also love the sweetness and earnest feelings of each character (Samsoon, Hee Jin, Hyun & Henry).

Very touching series.

Smart and witty. Kim Sam Soon is a wonderful character that leaves a huge impression and has hilarious dialogue! The love relationships were somewhat frustrating. But overall enjoyable to watch.

well, Kim Seon-ah is 7 years older than Hyun Bin (in reality, he was like 23 when he acted in this drama while she was nearly 30 or something or thereabout)..

well, the drama is not bad, as i guess, though the ending is questionable...

to say that to fall in love with an older women is a trend, i dont think that's a good explaination to your family... hahha...

a good watch, which i think is comparable to My Girl, though Coffee Prince is still my fav...

Wonder if Hyun Bin already go for his 2 year army thingy in Korea.. at some angle, he does look like Gong Yoo ... duno why.. haaa
