Han Jung-suh's life starts out very much like Cinderella's Story. Her dad remarries and her step-mother moves in with her daughter, Yoori and son, TaeHwa. While Jung-suh's dad is at work, her step-mother's true colors come out. Her step-mother keeps her from going to study abroad with her childhood love Cha Song Joo. So Song Joo leaves to go abroad without Jung-suh. Jung-suh's stepmother trying to set her daughter Yoori up with Song Joo because he comes from a well to do family. Out of jealousy, Yoori hits Jung-suh with her car on the day that Song Joo comes back from studying abroad. Jung-suh loses her memory and Yoori switches Jung-suh's identity with one of the patients from a fire that had died, and TaeHwa having fallen in love with Jung-suh runs away with her, and gives them new identities. Five years after the accident, Jung-suh who is now Jisoo runs into Song Joo the day before his wedding to Yoori. Jung-suh regains her memory and gets back together, but then discovers that she has eye cancer. So she goes back to TaeHwa and asks him to take her away because she doesn't want to cause anymore pain for Song Joo. TaeHwa goes and tells the truth, and Song Joo and Jung-suh get married. Jung-suh is now blind, as the cancer has taken her sight. She tells TaeHwa that her last wish would be to see Song Joo one last time. TaeHwa plans that he is going to move to Paris, France so that he can commit suicide to donate his corneas to Jung-Suh, since the doctors will not take them from live donors. In the end, Jung-suh gets the cornea transplant but finds out that the cancer has spread throughout her body and she decides to forego the treatments and live out the rest of her life with Song Joo.

Add a Review read moreI gave in to watching this serial because my girlfriend said that she fell in love with the leading man, Kwon Sang Woo. I needed to see for myself how charming this guy is. Well, he sure is oh, so good looking and I even went to bed remembering his face! However, I must say that with this Korean serial (I've watched other Korean soapies like Autumn in my Heart, Winter Sonata), I think...
Add a Review read moreForeword Knowing this serial causes a storm, I watched it out of curiosity. Many are swept off their feet by Kwon Sang Woo. So am I. Before this, I saw him as Du Wan in 'Love and Ambition'. I only felt that he resembled Ahn Jae Wok in looks at certain angles. This serial can be considered as his one man show. Many thanks to Jing Yi for lending me her vcds and Li Mei...

The only thing keeping me from giving this 5/5 is that the drama drag too much in the ending but other than that it was awesome. The movie got your attention right from the start. Brilliant movie. Very sad. Watch it!
