Foreword
Cheung Siu Fai has left while Chow Hoi Mei just returned to TVB. Do you wish to see how they act as a couple in here before they act in ‘Plain Love’? This story is on cheats who spar with each other to see who the final winner is. It also shows the dark side of man – even the closest friend can become an enemy next minute.

Story/Introduction on characters

1. Kor Ping Tan – Cheung Siu Fai
He is formally a small bank employee. He is made used of by Kok Gei and is jailed. This causes changes to his life. He befriends Ah Gai (chicken in Chinese) in jail. Both become good friends. When both are released, they become cheats to earn a living. Under Ching Wai’s training, he becomes an experienced cheat. Under Hei Ling’s training, he becomes an expert.

2. Leung Ah Gai – Lee Hing Ming
He is too used to going in and out of jail. He finds Ping Tan quite handsome. Why should he waste his looks if he doesn’t become a cheat like him? He trains him to cheat women of their money. To the extent of pretending to be women! (Have fun seeing them in wigs, dresses and thick make-up.) Ching Wai considers that as low-rated so he teaches them better skills.

3. Lui Ching Wai – Wong Wai
You can never believe that the two cheats are so down in luck to run into him right after their release to deceive young women. Ching Wai’s target is older women. He is very experienced in this line. Seeing that Ping Tan is talented, he accepts him as his disciple.

4. Yip Kok Gei – Yeung Tuck See
This so-called friend of Ping Tan is blinded by greed. He makes use of Ping Tan to kill someone and escapes to another country with the money. Later, he makes a comeback as an entrepreneur. He wants to make use of Ping Tan to help him out as now he is a commercial cheat.

We can call him the king of cheats. Why? Not just Mun Yee - even Hei Ling and the others are tricked by him. Tan finally realizes that he has trusted the wrong person again so he fights back to send him to jail.

5. Yuen Hei Ling – Chow Hoi Mei
Ching Wai and Ping Tan have a bet. They want to see who will get to win this rubber plantation heiress’s money. Alas, both are tricked by this queen of cheats. The three men finally meet their match. Hei Ling doesn’t trust men after a breakup but through training Ping Tan on how to deceive women, she falls for him.

6. Fong Mun Yee – Chan Mui Hing
She is the group’s next target to attack. She never questions Ping Tan’s evil intentions towards her. Seeing that she is really sincere to him, Ping Tan can’t bring himself to deceive her. He decides to stop and asks for a breakup. That affects her so much that she tries to kill herself.

7. Cheung Suk Hin – Lee Sau Mei
She is Ping Tan’s former girlfriend. He has intended to marry her. His helping of Kok Gei causes him to get jailed and this evil woman withdraws all his money from their joint account to disappear into thin air.

8. Chan Bo Lien – Fan Yik Mun
A very bossy woman. So serves her right to be cheated by the gang.

Conclusion

Just like the victims in the drama, I was duped to watch this drama. Anyone can act in any role in this story. The leads should be involved in blockbusters and not low quality dramas like this one. I dissuade all to watch it. Ping Tan is too stupid – he has not followed the No.1 cheat law – to be wary of people and to think that he believes Kok Gei twice makes you doubt his ability to be a cheat. So do the rest – don’t they know that this man is dangerous? Please don’t waste your time on it or you will be disillusioned like me.
