I would like to start out this review by saying how great Fate Twisters was. It is so far the best modern series of 2003!! Due to my love for the series, I am writing this review 5 hours after finishing the series.

The Basic Plot
Lawrence Ng plays the son of a rich business man; however, his identity was unknown in the first half of the series. Gigi Lai is an intelligent, independent lady working for Lawrence's dad company. When she finds the truth of Lawrence's identity, she begins to "love" him, or maybe she loves him for his money and power. The love triangle involves Eddie to Gigi, Gigi to Lawrence, and Lawrence to Ada.

My Opinion on the Story
What can I say... It's is extremely enjoyable due to its great conflicts, emotional and touching moments, with a few humorous, unforgettable scenes. The story allows us to experience different emotions at different sections of the series. It was mainly light-hearted in the beginning; however, near the end, that feeling slowly changes to sorrow and sympathy.

My Opinion on the Solution
The outcomes of the characters and the plot were the most satisfying parts throughout the whole series. I would really hate to spoil everything for the readers, so I shall just say that the "bad guys" deserve their punishments and the "good guys" end up happily ever after despite how much they suffered. Afterall, the rainbow appears in the dark - exactly the theme of the series.

My Opinion on the Cast
Ada Choi - Ada rarely appears in series and maybe that is why I enjoy her acting so much in every series. It is pointless to comment on Ada's acting, because she is the closest thing to perfection. Here she plays a totally different character from previous series (nothing like the character in "Where The Legend Begins" from last year). The unique thing is that she has to take care of her "daughter", so her chances of meeting a life partner is not as easy. Despite Ada's past and circumstances, Lawrence chooses Ada over Gigi, and this shows that true love is not a matter of money and looks.

Gigi Lai - Gigi's appearance in the series is breath-taking. She looks extremely pretty, which fits her character even more. Gigi is the modern woman who is independent, hardworking, and intelligent. She is a woman most guys want to be with and someone most women envy or look up to. Gigi's character would have been the perfect character if not for her artifices, her plans and strategies to get the things she is after. From parts to parts, I felt like she is somewhat mentally challenged due to her past...quite emotional!

Lawrence Ng - Lawrence plays a typical guy, good-hearted, caring...etc. Ada and Lawrence look so compatible on-screen and I hope they will win "Most Favorite Couple" again! There is not much to say about this character, one thing for certain is that he affects those around him heavily.

"Fate Twisters" marks the return of Eddie Kwan and Margaret Chung. Eddie's character is very critical to the plot and Margaret's character is a lot of fun to watch.

My Final Comments
Overall, "Fate Twisters" is a series you can't miss out. It's short so money is not a big factor. I do not have any relevant complaints toward the series, just want to say that both Ada and Gigi are beautiful; however based on look alone, Eddie and Lawrence have aged and look so much older. I also want to state that the themesong by William So is very nice! I strongly recommend this series to TVB fans and especially Ada/Gigi’s fans.
