Forensic Heroes

I have always been more interested in the legal and crime genre. However, through the years, I find TVB making too many police and thief dramas. So it is pretty refreshing when Forensic Heroes came out, as this is crime and evidence gathering from another angle. This show seems parallel to an older show "Untraceable Evidence" (one of my favourites), but where this focuses more on forensics and evidence gathering to help the police solve the case, the latter is more on gathering evidence on dead bodies.

Another reason why I got this show is because it is starring one of my favourite actors - Bobby Au Yeong. His shows never fail! Whichever role he plays, he always does it to perfection!

In this show, again he is the perfect kind of man. Smart, capable, faithful in love, family man. What will that particular police unit do without the knowledgeable Tim Sir? He alone can solve the missing link to the cases where the other police officers are not able to.

He and his brother-in-law (Frankie Lam) make a good team, be it at work or at home. Frankie's character is another ultra perfect guy - smart, educated, capable, writes suspense novels, and still volunteer to counsel wayward youths at the same time! The one that ended up as his girlfriend (Linda Chung) is really one lucky girl!

For some reason I do not like Yoyo Mung. She looks so icy no matter what show she is in. Her expression is always the same. Was she really in love with Bobby? I can't tell. Was she affected by her uncle's death? I can't tell either. Did she kind of like Frankie in the beginning? Again, I can't tell. She can't seem to portray her role well, thus to me, she always seems forgettable no matter what role she plays.

I watch this show because of the genre and the two male leads. I'm not sure how others will view this show, but the cases are pretty intruguing. Those who like crime thrillers will kind of enjoy it, see if you can solve the case before the great Tim-sir!
