I apologize if I made any mistakes on this series review for I only saw it once and that was a long time ago. I will be using the names of the actors/actresses because I forgot the characters' names.

Cast:
Ekin Cheng
Jacqueline Law
Angela Pang

Story:
Ekin is really the heir to the throne. However, he doesn't know it. He practises martial arts with his master and everyone seems to care for him. One day, his master's rival kills Ekin's master and makes Ekin's big brother join their clan. Ekin escapes and enters a cave. In there, he finds a manual depicting the martial arts strokes with the golden snake sword and of course, the golden snake sword itself. Ekin starts practising and goes out to seek revenge. (I'm sorry but that's about all I can remember.)

Acting:
Ekin Cheng: He is a great pick for this kind of role. He shines in this series and beats the other actors. He played the usual cool guy and it satisfied me. I'm glad he didn't play the big brother.

Angela Pang as Ekin's new lover: I would say she's okay. I don't remember too much on her character. She was pretty and looked good with Ekin. She is better than Ekin's former love in the series too. I do feel that TVB actresses back then were more attractive than the new ones.

Jacqueline Law as Ekin's half-sister: I say she is cunning and eager to make Ekin die. She is also pretty and has a charming look. Sometimes she looks right as the bad girl and sometimes she doesn't. All I can is that she did a good job and didn't disappoint me.

Thoughts:
There weren't a lot of fight scenes but it was the the acting from Ekin and the other actresses that caught my attention. The fights were ok but weren't as good as the ones in ATV serials.

I really liked the theme song. It brought out the theme of the series. The singing of the male and female singers were excellent. I wonder who sang the theme song?

One thing I liked about TVB serials made in the 90s was the cast. None of the new ones can compare to them. Also, the actresses were much prettier and didn't look too modern, unlike the new ones. The storylines were perfect too. This series has it all.

Conclusion:
This series is worth your time. If you're a fan of Ekin, then you don't want to miss this. It shows his early career in TVB and how he became a great actor.
