Plot:
'Lethal Weapons of Love and Passion' is based on an ancient story about the war between the Han and Mongolian people. This series has some differences from its folktale but it is still very good.

Comments:
Plot - I think the plot was excellent and I was surprised because I didn't think that this series would be very good if it was that many episodes. I was a bit disappointed at the end because it started to drag and the ending was the expected happy ending so there weren't any surprises.

Cast
Raymond Lam - Fung Hang Lit
I think Raymond is a great actor in this series! He did very well as Fung Hang Lit and I think his character definitely changed from the start to the end because he went through a lot of situations and needed to choose between his country and the love of his life. I felt a bit sorry for Mung Yiu and Fung Hang Lit because they only got together when he had turned a bit evil and Fung Hang Lit was with Bing Wan when he was good, however Bing Wan was lying to him and never really loved him even when she knew he loved her very much.

Bosco Wong - Hon Pat
Bosco surely brought many humorous moments in this series but I was rather disappointed that his strong kung-fu skills were not used much in this series. A lot of the time Hon Pat was learning more and more kung-fu but he didn't seem to get to use much of it until the very end. I loved the chemistry he had with Sharon Chan because they made such a lovably cute couple! They would argue frequently but it was obvious that they liked each other. I think that Bosco was so funny in this series and he did really well as Hon Pat.

Charmaine Sheh - Chun Mung Yiu
I think Charmaine was excellent in this series! At first she seemed like the calm type of person but when she was dealing with her relationship with Fung Hang Lit I noticed that she wasn't as strong as she seemed, especially when she stabbed him while trying to protect the king. She tried to justify her actions but she still felt pain for stabbing the person she loved. I think that she acted greatly in this series. I especially like the scenes she had with Raymond Lam and Power Chan.

Sonija Kwok - Kam Bing Wan
I think that Sonija's character was a very well-remembered one because at first I hated the way she treated Fung Hang Lit but her actions were due to the instructions of Pong Ban. She loved him very much and I felt great sympathy for her because he didn't show any love and affection for her until she died. I loved her character for her love for Pong Ban but I didn't like the way she was so blinded by love that she could treat Fung Hang Lit that poorly. I think Sonija portrayed this lovable yet hateable character very well but I wished she would stay longer in the series.

Sharon Chan - Hui Ye Yut
I think Sharon is so cute in this series, which in a way causes me to think that she is in a modern series. She was a very good character in this series and added a lot of laughs when she was with Fan Leung Gik and Hon Pat. They were three very close friends who enjoyed teasing each other, but were also very loyal to one another. I enjoyed Sharon's performance and I hope she would be in another series with this type of character in the future.

Derek Kwok - Pong Ban
I loved Derek's performance in this series! It was without a doubt excellent! I think that it was very touching how Bing Wan died in his arms and he finally expressed his love towards her, but it was also a very emotionally sad scene. I think that Pong Ban's character comes off as the evil one but he is actually emotionally disturbed and out for revenge for very good reasons. I sympathized with him because he loved Bing Wan very much but he could not show love towards her because he wanted to concentrate on the plans he had for his people. He sacrificed a lot for his people and for Fung Hang Lit, which was why I admired his character. Derek Kowk is a great actor in this series.

John Chiang - Long Fan Wan
I liked John Chiang's character in this series but sometimes he is a bit dull in the way he speaks because he seems to almost always use the same tone when he talks. But I like his kind-hearted character inside of him because he treats everyone very well and respects everybody. I was very sad when he died because he was a nice person with a good heart and he did not get to tell the person he sparked some feelings for that he loved her.

Power Chan - Fan Leung Gik
Power Chan is such a wonderful actor! Seriously, he can act in funny roles but he can also act in serious roles. Mostly I do love him in the humorous roles of course because he provides comedy in series. He was so funny as Fan Leung Gik and I think any girl would be emotionally touched by his love for Wan Qing. I felt sorry for him when she continously rejected him and misunderstood him as a bad person. Fan Leung Gik was a very kind character who was willing to help everyone.

Evergreen Mak - Wong Ye
Evergreen Mak was satisfactory in this series. It wasn't a mind-blowing performance because he didn't seem like a main character and he wasn't very humorous nor was he good at kung-fu. He was quite funny at times but I think that Evergreen Mak wasn't given much to work with in his character. I think that he was always there just to talk about issues regarding his country or just to provide some part of the plots. He wasn't a character that had many side scenes that were funny or just memorable. But I did like the fact that he loved Ye Yut but didn't fight for her when he knew she loved Hon Pat.

Mimi Lo - Wan Qing
Mimi was good in this series, although she didn't have many scenes. I think she did dress differently from her other series because I couldn't recognize her very well. I like Wan Qing's character but she was a bit unfair and quickly jumped to conclusions, which led to her and Fan Leung Gik having some problems. But I think that made a cute couple because they were two really different people. I hope that Mimi has stronger characters in the future because I think she has acting potential.

Conclusion:
In my opinion, I think this series is fantastic! It has suspense, love, patriotism, action (kung-fu) and also it has a lot of funny scenes as well. I recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the cast because they won't be disappointed.
