Better than latest TVB's version 2000. But the very best is still 1986 version with Tony Leung & Kitty Lai as Zhang Wuji and Zhao Min respectively.

Regardless of which version you like -- 1978, 1986, 2000 or 2003. The 1978 ABSOLUTELY has the best and most memorable theme song. I guarantee you won't forget it after hearing it once. IMHO, TVB/ATV theme songs and even accompanying songs went downhill after the late 70s and very early 80s.

Too short for a long novel with many complex characters that need deep exploration, and watching it is more like fast forwarding. 1986 version is so much better adaptation, but this one has better Zhao Ziruo/Chow Chi Yurk 周芷若 in my opinion. I agree that the song is the most memorable epic song that today's production series lack of.
