Miton's Paradise Lost - quite interesting spin on the fall of mankind from the Garden of Eden. I plan to take a seminar next semester to learn more about this book
Poe's The Raven - I dislike this poem. The form and technique are perfect, but for some unknown reason, it gave me the "feeling" (the same one that I had when watching Jennifer Lopez's The Cell).

"The Great Migration", a collection of writings about blacks migration to the northern cities during WWI. It's for school, but a very interesting book nonetheless about a part of history that tends to be overlooked.
"The Punch", by John Feinstein, about Kermit Washington's punch on Rudy Tomjanovich(ex-Houston Rockets player and coach) in a basketball game. Those in Houston or familiar with basketball should know about this story.
