"Yeung" and "Muk" - some literary connection between these surnames?

According to one version of the Yeung Family Corps legend, Yeung Chung Bo married the famous woman warrior Muk Gwai Ying. This probably inspired Jin Yong to pair Yeung Hong with Muk Lim Chi in LOCH. Is there any special literary significance tying the surname "Yeung" with the surname "Muk?"

A similar phenomenon is the pairing of the surname "Luk" with the surname "Ching." In LOCH and ROCH, two completely seperate sets of Luks and Chings (that of Luk Gwoon Ying and Ching Yiu Ga in LOCH, and that of Luk Mo Seung and Ching Ying in ROCH) were closely associated with each other.

It says in the novel that Yang Tiexin took his surname Yang, and split it into two, resulting in Mu (wood) and Yi, but since the wood Mu is not a valid surname, he changed it to the surname Mu and called himself Mu Yi.
