I ate a petite pizza in a nobel restaurant in spain that coste 15 Eurowith a coke 5 Euro. It´s approximately $26,94.
For me it was expensive for a small pizza.
from various sources:
saffron: up to $2700 per pound
beluga caviar: $2400 per pound
krug clos du mesnil: $750 per bottle
truffles: up to 500 Euro per 500 g
world's most expensive sandwich from selfridges: 125 english pounds
grand opulence sundae (NYC's serendipity restaurant): $1000
double truffle burger (NYC's DB Bistro): 118 euro

I think my Godiva truffles still remain the most expensive foods I eat! $2/truffle is craaazy but totally worth it :D
13! YOU FOOL! 13!!!!!! :p
how come pink-cherry just disappeared?
As for the most expensive food I've eaten, I'd say these dark chocolates made in my state. It's family owned since the early 1900s and they're really popular in my state. I got a box of 4 truffles for about 20 bucks.
i eat alot of food, none is expensive however, the most is probably those dam crabcakes @ like 2 bucks a pop (still cheap IMO cuzz u can be full with like 10 of them for a couple hours). other wise i've ate abalone and sharkfins but in comparision they don't make u full with just 1, plus it was someone else's treat so i don't know the cost.
thats not bad. i had a time where the bill came up to like 5000 for some family dinner thing in seattle. i think there was like 20 peopleish too. but of course i didnt pay it..
caviar. :)
Aaaaah ....okay. I thought I had done everything wrong....
