Mid-Tier Matchups # 18: Luk Family # 1 vs. Luk Family # 2 (ROCH)

In ROCH appeared two different Luk Families. One of the two Luk Families was of the lineage of Luk Sing Fung, a student of East Heretic Wong Yerk See. This Luk Family, who first appeared in LOCH and was originally based at Returning Clouds Manor near Lake Tai, was headed by Luk Gwoon Ying and his wife Ching Yiu Ga. They had been friends with Gwok Jing and Wong Yung since LOCH and hosted the Heroes Conference at Dai Sing Kwan.

The other Luk Family was headed by Luk Lap Ding and his wife. Based in Ga Hing Village, Luk Lap Ding was the younger brother of Lee Mok Sau's former lover, Luk Tzin Yeun. Near the beginning of ROCH, Luk Lap Ding and his wife were murdered by Lee Mok Sau, leaving behind an orphaned daughter, Luk Mo Seung.

In a cosmic twist, Luk Lap Ding and his wife are not murdered, but remain alive and well up to the time of the Heroes Conference at Dai Sing Kwan. The two Luk Families get into a terrible dispute about who is the *real* (and implied better) Luk Family in wulin. It comes down to a duel between Luk Gwoon Ying and Luk Lap Ding and their respective wives.

I think Lu Guanying would win since even without his family martial arts (which originated from HYS) he could hold his own against YK so logically after almost 20 years training of his father skills/Peach Blossom Isle-skills (after HYS allowed Lu Chengfeng to directly teach his son) he would be much better than when he fought YK in LOCH..
