Golden Globes 2007 predictions
Did that in the past two years, will do it again. My predictions:
Picture, Drama: "The Departed,"
(I would love this movie to win and then all pro-Asian film fans and Hollywood film haters can gawk in disbelief and contemplate suicide after their incessant whining about 'Hollywood stealing ideas from almighty HK')
Actress, Drama: Helen Mirren, "The Queen"
(Impossible for her not to win)
Actor, Drama: Forest Whitaker, "The Last King of Scotland"
(It could be Leo, or Peter O Toole, but Forest is getting all those critic's choice award, so I stick with him)
Picture, Musical or Comedy: "Dreamgirls,"
(I would prefer Little Miss Sunshine, but Dreamgirls seem to be Golden Globes' kind of thing)
Actress, Musical or Comedy: Meryl Streep, "The Devil Wears Prada"
(Living legend)
Actor, Musical or Comedy: Sacha Baron Cohen, "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan"
(Borat is getting too much love to not win)
Supporting Actress: Jennifer Hudson, "Dreamgirls"
(Jennifer Hudson's the forerunner)
Supporting Actor: Eddie Murphy, "Dreamgirls"
(He's also getting a lot of love)
Director: Martin Scorsese, "The Departed"
(This is Marty's year. Hardcore Infernal Affairs fans will be angry)
Screenplay: Guillermo Arriaga, "Babel"
(Weaving so many subplots together... awesome, besides, Babel CAN'T go back empty handed)
Foreign Language: "Volver" Spain
(Either this or Pan's Labyrinth... only if they can take a fantasy horror seriously)
Animated Film: "Cars," (FIXED IT)
(I prefer Happy Feet though)
