What's up, Whsie and PJ? Why're you guys arguing about this? Why does it matter whether it piles up or not? I'm too lazy to read all the stuff before.

Yoh, I remember you were the one who loved to diss Broken Wheel Monk.
The argument from PJ is that the ROCH Greats need to "pile up" several attacks in order to injure each other. He is questioning whether or not the Greats can harm each other with 1 Long distance attack. The argument I'm making is that "piling up" is impossible as Yideng would find himself blown away by JLFW's superior palm energy if he 1. tries to pile up 2. uses a continuous stream of energy 3. constantly exchange head on. In each of those scenario, Yideng's energy would get dissolved and Yideng would be in trouble; therefore, the only logical explanation left is for Yideng to dodge around and fire LDA. As for why the LDA can harm each other and the specifics, you have to read the earlier posts. I seriously took way too much time to type those out.
Anyway, I'm out for today.
Oi PJ! After 17 pages of heated debate, you removed the chart?!?
but then there would be debate on who IS and who ISN'T an ELOC
What's the cutoff for ELOC-dom?
Would Huang Shang be an ELOC? DGQB? Lin Yuantu?
These people might never have gotten proper names in their stories, but I don't think any of them would qualify for ELOC status because they're too darn prominent. ELOCs are characters that people pay little or no attention to because of their seeming unimportance. Each of the above, however, was very important even if they didn't really ever appear in their stories.
ELOCs are more "out of sight, out of mind" type characters.
I forgot what ELOC stood for again.
What maybe ELOC for you, may not be ELOC for many other wuxia posters.
I prefer ELOCs to be characters that actually made a physical appearance in the book.
No one really paid much attention to the supposedly master of the Xiaoyao Pai elders. I don't even recall the "inventor" of the 6MSJ mentioned that often in TLBB at all. I would say that the inventor of the Ode to Gallantry art is only important insofar as his art is being studied by so many people. In any case, he could have just as easily been two people and it wouldn't affect the plot or design at all.
They hold minimal importance to everyone who doesn't try to debate how strong they actually were. ;)
Well if Wuji = 3 Du Monk and 3 Du Monk = 6 Yang Xiao I think it's not strange if Xiao Feng can take on 6 Murong Fu since he's better fighter than Wuji and Murong Fu level not a lot better than Yang Xiao IMHO..
A character from fiction <xiao ao jiang hu>
