Hellllllo Gu Long experts. :) What do we know about Demon Sect (Mo Jiao) in Sentimental Swordsman story? Did it play a big role in the story? Was it one of the most powerful sects? Was it a rival of Jin Qian Bang (of Shangguan Jinghong)?

If I remember correctly,
Ther is no Mo Jiao appearance in the Sentimental Swordsman story but in the sequel, Yip Hoio story - The Eagle Flying in September, there are a lot of Mo Jiao top fighters all over the place.

Is it Shang Guan Jin Hong's daughter?? Is that the daughter he had with Lin Xian Er?? I can imagine how evil she is....

During the Dagger Li timeline, the Demon Sect had to have been around. Its just that the plot needed to focus on the Gold Coin Sect.
Fu's teacher (who of course had to be older then Fu) learnt the Sabre skill from the Demon Sect. Given that the story took place only a bit after Dagger Li and that Dagger Li himself was around to teach the young Ye Kai before the story started, the Demon Sect should have been well established even before Dagger Li's story.
Jin Yong universe has a similar problem. Ode to Gallantry and SPW both happened in the Ming dynasty, and yet:
-SPW has no mention of Gallant Island, Snow Mountain Sect, Eternal Happiness Clan...
-OTG has no mention of Sun Moon Sect, Sunflower Manuscript, Huashan, 5 Sword Mountains...
It was said that Sun Moon Sect had existed/flourished for HUNDREDS of years before SPW. Sun Moon was a bigger deal than the organizations in OTG. Logically, this alone makes me think that if OTG happened before SPW, Sun Moon should have been mentioned. Since it wasn't mentioned, it means SPW happened before OTG, and Sun Moon kinda faded away after Ren Yingying.
Hell, LOCH didn't even mention Dugu Qiubai.
Is this "Demon Sect" the same one that took in Ding Pang and gave him the Full Moon Curved Sabre in the same-named novel?
"Demon Sect" is such a generic term that I wonder if it all refers to the same organization, or is basically just any martial arts organization that the mainstream, orthodox wulin sects don't like or think is "weird."
Oh, and Bai and his Divine Sword was supposed to have dominated the freakin world so much that everyone was jealous of him. And since he was supposedly Ye/Fu's father, that places him smack right in Dagger Li's timeline.
And art thou in the book of weapons oh Mr World Dominating Divine Sword? Nobody even heard of Mr Bai in dagger Li or mentions his name when discussing top exponents!
Unless the Little Li of Flying Dagger, the Flying Dagger of Little Li, LITTLE LI FLYING DAGGER Li Xunhuan lived to 100 years before he taught Ye Kai.
