    Default [Channel i] Six Weeks

    Screencaps of the opening

The last english drama production from Channel i pre-merger. I recorded it so I only just watched it sans commercials. Very poignant with good performances from Adrian Pang and Steph Song. It's done by Kelvin Tong's production house, Boku Films.

An article from a local paper about the main actors of Six Weeks.

    http://newpaper.asia1.com.sg/hey/sto...,77706,00.html

    Busy Adrian keeps it going

    By Sheela Narayanan
    [email protected]

ADRIAN Pang should be singing the blues.

The 38-year-old MediaWorks actor is playing a cancer-stricken man with only six weeks to live in a new Channel i drama series, Six Weeks.

But the father of two boys is too busy working to be feeling down.

He is also in the middle of filming Channel U's last project, Zero, which stars just about everyone in the MediaWorks stable.

Zero is about a man, played by Bryan Wong, who has 49 days to right his sins.

It's the channel's last drama before the merger between MediaWorks and MediaCorp in end-December.

'It was a very exciting thing. It was a dream,' said Adrian, looking back at his four years with the station.

    KEEP WORKING

Ironically, the news of the merger with MediaCorp coincided with the production of Six Weeks.

'On the day we received the news, we had to go back to work and shoot a wedding scene,' he said.

So, what does the future hold for Adrian?

He hopes to carry on here and yes - if given the chance - to continue doing Chinese serials and shows, despite his frequent claims that his Mandarin is terrible.

And even if things don't work out, he has always left the option open to go back to the UK, said the affable actor.

Adrian lived in the UK for eight years prior to joining MediaWorks.

He still has an agent there but it might mean starting all over again for him.

But he said: 'My main concern is looking after my family, making sure they will be okay.

'If that's what I have to do, that's what I will do.'

For his Six Weeks' co-star Steph Song, her first leading role in a drama series is turning out to be her last for the station.

The 27-year-old actress was one of the last to join MediaWorks.

But the Australian-Chinese actress said that the merger has forced her to look for other opportunities.

'I have no idea if I will be joining the MediaCorp stable.

'But I will not be hung up on whether I get invited over or not,' said Steph, who plays Michelle Wong, the pregnant wife of Adrian Pang's character in Six Weeks.

Steph is thinking about doing theatre and even looking outside Singapore for acting gigs.

Earlier this year, the Canadian-born actress scored a small role in a Hollywood movie, Devour.

    SEVERAL PROJECTS

While she said there are several projects percolating, Steph is not divulging just yet.

    'It's a secret,' she said.

But she knows there will be hard work ahead for her to keep doing what she wants.

'I want to make my own opportunities.

'It may sound arrogant but I hate to be in a position that I have to rely on somebody for my opportunities,' she said.

Do you all watch this show? Its heart-warming and rather sad though...but sometimes there'll be like unexpected funny dialogues of the roles. Catch the last episode this sunday at 10pm. Channel i's last production...not going to see channel i in future...

Hi freezezly! Looks like it's just you and me here for the moment.

I find the background music for this show very good and adds to the feel of the show. Good production!

Thanks for plugging my site! I'll have to do a google search on Emil Chow Hua Jian, it'd be funny if he's Jason's long lost brother or something.

This is from memory so it's a bit sketchy.

    (Using characters' names)

David continues to request a divorce from Michelle. Lawrence arranges for a meeting with David and told him there's nothing between him and Michelle. Even though he truly loves Michelle, Michelle doesn't love him back. He assures David that the child Michelle is carrying is David's. David returns home and finds that Michelle had returned home. She is all chirpy around David even though he gives her the cold shoulder. She is determined to save the marriage.

Plenty of scenes cut between the past and present, showing how David and Michelle first met, showing the how each of them remembered it.

    The Past:

David was under the table in the library picking up something when Michelle's then boyfriend was flirting with another girl. Michelle appeared and started questioning her boyfriend about the other girl. He says she's just being paranoid. When he started to admonish her for suspecting him, David stood out from under the table and revealed the truth. Michelle then broke up with her boyfriend.

David was walking by the the university courtyard when he caught Michelle crying under a tree. He tried to walk away but instead turned back and offered her his hankie.

Michelle sticks around David when he was studying for two weeks and David shows no indication that he was going to ask her out on a date. Michelle gets impatient and David blurts out that he does not want to be her rebound guy, he wants to be her last guy. That comment deeply touched Michelle.

    The Present :

David still insists on the divorce. He even arranges a dinner with the whole family with Lawrence and introduces the kids to him. Michelle storms out from the restaurant with the kids. Michelle tells David he'll get the divorce.

David's father stopped by and brought some snacks. After a few bites, David started to vomit. He then cries in his father's arms.

summersakura, it's a pity but I think you'd missed the best episode so far of this series. My summary doesn't do it justice.

During a company retreat in some resort in the past, Lawrence broke up with his then girlfriend. Michelle spent the whole night consoling him in a hotel room. That's where all the rumours started.
