All that's needed to say have been said, why say anything more? The man is drunk, why stay any longer?....

Huang Rong didn't seem to have a lot of choice. Who was she going to marry? Yang Kang? Ou Yang Ke?
gj was lucky; when it comes to love, he's probably the luckiest man to be able to land a girl like hr. as much as i like this man, i think that gj was hr's only option, or her best option at the time while hr will always be gj's best option.
however, as someone brought up, they loved each other and understood each other (although i fancy the idea that hr understood gj more than he did her). they were extremely happy with one another and i doubt either one of them regret their relationship.
i cannot think of another jy character who i deem worthy of hr....maybe lhc? now that would be an interesting pair.
in essence, gj is suitable for hr, but i'm not sure if he's the most suitable for her, but what the hey, i enjoyed loch and it had a large part to do with this pair.

yea, it was luck. But seriously, i think there weren't better choices for her. No LHC, who would make a very interesting pairup with HR. HR really had no choice becuase GJ was the only decent guy around.Originally Posted by strife_au
I think if YG and HR were peers instead of junior and elder, they would've made a good match. If Guo Jing was out of the picture and YG was born instead of Yang Kang, it may be possible......or maybe I'm not very sane when I was writing this.
Underneath the fluffly, cudly exterior lies the tormented and complex creature known as the panda.
i think GJ is a pretty nice guy, with HR being too smart, guys who can yak alot and really charm girls sweeping them of their feet will probably be too much of a fake for her. she needs real honesty and no one else can give ti to her, shes too smart and see through the hypocrisy of most people.
i say they match each other most.
They're too similar. They'd end up always suspicious of/competing against each other...just like Wong Chung Yeung and Lam Chiu Ying did. Two people with strong egos + strong intelligence usually represents a recipe for disaster in relationships.Originally Posted by SkineePanda

Sometimes, the hero doesn't get the girl. That would be refreshing and different.
i would reverse the poll - is Huang Rong the most suitable lover/wife for Guo Jing?
in my mind HR was lucky to have a husband like Guo Jing. After all Guo Jing did have another option

lol, i thought only a girl would think that. Any girl would be lucky to have a husband like Guo Jing.Originally Posted by NetDriftr

Definitely the best.
You can see that from how much effort GJ spent on alot of mentioned stuff in the above posts.
yea... would you choose Ou yang KE?Originally Posted by Arisa
Imagine it wasn't GJ who married HR. What if it was someone like YG? Would they trust eachother? Would they? GJ's simple mind and HR's complex brain are simply a perfect match.
You mean the hero gets no girl, right? Because there are already a few stories in which the hero doesn't get "the girl". Book and Sword: Princess Xiangxiang died, Chen Jialua got nobody (although technically he had Hua Qingtong as "backup"). A Deadly Treasure: Di Yun's girl died. Another girl came to him right at the end but we never know if he would ever fall in love with her or anyone else after what he had been through. Flying Fox (both stories): Hu Fei never ended up with anyone. DGSD (to an extent): Xiao Feng didn't get his girl. She died early, he killed her.Originally Posted by Ken Cheng
Now this is an unique story. White Horse Neighing in the West Wind: the main character is a girl and she ended up with nobody. The only man she loved was in love with someone else and never really paid much attention to her feelings. The other man who loved her was a bastard (and she killed him, IRC).

Thing is.. Marriage is not about she's perfect and I am perfect. But together we're perfecting each other.
