What would happen next year to the time table of Channel U. I have a feeling that the NEWS on CH U at 6.30 and 10pm will be changed - might just use Ch 8 news for the same time slot or delayed telecast of the news so that it will not crash head on.

If i was channel 8, firstly i will not 拿石头敲自己的脚，肯定要调整戏剧时间，应该在黄金时段的戏……哎呀，好像莫婉婉讲的：不用头脑想，用屁股 想都知道是那些戏啦。
再把channel U 送进冷宫，然后等它人老珠黄，没有人看，就归西去也。

我相信肯定会被冷打进冷宫。迟早的事情。我看一些新加坡（非华族）已经有一点不太高兴。为什么需要两个中文 电视频道。

其实，在报业控股的年度股东大会，他们都叫上面快快卖掉，不要再输钱了。他们的股票那时候一直跌至到宣布合 并的消息。（好像不是合并，不如说并吞）。

相信第八播的节目编排不会受影响。很可惜的事，U 频道的新闻谁来播？张海洁都不干了。非常透视眼这样好的节目也不肯能会有吧。 人人爱理呢？

mediacorp have not organised how channel u tv programmes will be shifted in 2005. guess there won't be channel u news anymore...so lets cherish the no. of days we are going to see the newscasters in channel u reporting news.

If you look at the time table. It seems that news time slot might be shifted as well. Coudl it be 8pm ? 9pm News? retelecast of Ch 8 news at that time slot?

Where is Zhong yi Da ge da? Disappeared ?! shit.

oh well, even if channel u wishes to keep some of the shows airing, they also have no choice 'cos its mediacrap in charge of their tv timeslots now. Don't think can expect news on channel u now 'cos the newscasters of channel u are not there anymore, and I would not like them to air channel 8 programmes on channel u. well...maybe they'll repeat the shows in Di Ba Ying Mu again and again on channel u.

There are some rumours converting ch U to Chiense version of Channelnewsasia. Can anyone confirm that story?

where did u hear the rumour from? i don think that would happen though.

Quality programmes like Ren Ren AI Li and Fei Chang Tou Shi Yan sure "AXED". They can't take it because these programmes attracted higher ratings compared to CH 8's version. (copycat versions).

channel 8 really loves to copy channel u don't they? like the recent programme they producing, Ying Cha Yang Cuo is an example of copying channel u's Ling Lou. most of all, the programme which instructs the artiste to become MAIDs of other people is the most unacceptable one, what do they treat the artistes as? slaves of the tv station just because they hire them?

I didn't know they have such crappy programmes. (on mediacrap). I never watch CH 8 for more than 3 yrs.

they have limited creativity and talents for their programmes. that's the reason. isn't this a good reason?

I think they should just rename it as SPH MEDiAWORKS HOLDINGS instead of MEDIACRP TV holdings

it makes me feel so uncomfortable just by calling it mediacorp tv holdings. just because they have more channels so it should be called that way? mediacrap. mediaworks is still the best tv station in singapore history, even if it didn't last long, the results produced by them is enough to prove to everyone.

I just don't understand why SPH only owns 20%. So little and has no right in the management right/ ?!!!

that's right. 20% = don have at all. 4 years ago, it was SPH who initiated to start up a tv staion, and after 4 years, it was them who decided the merger. Now, the tv station which suffer more loses has to be merged but why the newspaper (streats) which suffer the least loses has to be merged with what, TODAY?
