i have set up a poll to see how much this gigantic show event shakely merge with the newest media corp artist + channel u artist + hongkong artist too such as bernice liu etc the poll end at 30/1/2005.

Venerable Shi Ming Yi has said publicly that part of the money will go the the Tsunami victims but still, even though other charities need the money, the attention right now is on the tsunami victims. And it looks like it's gonna take many years for the victims to recover from it....

They predict 6 months for Phuket. I don't believe them that much..

6 months... unlikely. Unless they are only considering the physical aspects, stuff like fixing the buildings and receding of water. Emotional scars will remain, for a long long time.

I think they will still raise alot of money, other than doing their part for charity, some may see it as a form of support for Channel U. And there are also people who do not know any direct way to support the Tsunami fund, they may donate through this show. In fact, by stating that part of the donations will go to the Tsunami fund, more people might be willing to chip in.

But i hope this year they can break the record again! Ren Ci Charity show had been breaking records year over year since it started in 2003! Best charity show ever! Ren Ci would be donating half a million to the Tsunami victims!

As seen from the results now, Ren Ci has gotten over 7million, and this Sunday's encore woud definitely bring in more calls. It would be repeating at 3.30pm on Channel U.
