I highly doubt that LYF can speak fluent English since she wasn't in the US for long. However, I don't think the time that you are in the US can really show if you can speak English well or not, because I have some friends who have been in the US for nearly 15 years and their English is still not good. It just depends on the person and the conditions that they live in...

really? I did not understand the clip which she sang in English. But lived there for 4 years will not make her fluent, but ok. She could carry out a good amount of sentences in her clip.

Also, from my point of view, speaking English better than one another will not make he/she a better actor/actress or a better person.

I agree, I dont think her english is all that great. PLUS, I agree with what you said, living in the US for 4, even 10 years, wouldn't make your english good. It depends on how naturally good you are with learning and how hard you learn.

And yes, speakingn english better or whether or not you can speak english doesnt make you a better 'actor" or not. It only proves that you are willing to learn and you do know another language. Its not all that impressive, its worth praising, but not degrading (regarding those who cannot speak it).
