I'd like to reiterate that doesn't mean Yao won't be a great player in the future but better than Shaq offensively? No freakin' way

Only thing Yao will ever do better offensively is shooting from the charity stripe.

Only time will tell, ofcos unless u seen the future somehow.

Let alone be compared to the GREAT Shaq in offense
Joe Barry-Carroll? he must be before my time, did he play before they put in the three point line?

Yao will never average 20ppg playing 70 games a season, he's being worked way too hard by the NBA and chinese government, he'll have a few good season before a big injury playing this way.

As you can see, pretty good stats by a No 1. draft pick before the trade and injury...

I'm surprised Sampson got some dap from you Long. Guy was pretty amazing pre-injury.

I was a fan of Sampson during his career... Always like watching 'talented' big men in action and Sampson was one of the best.

At 7'4 he had all the skills... Even boasted during one All-Star game that Magic Johnson should start at C for the West so that he himsellf at 7'4 can run the show at PG... Wouldn't that have been a sight??? But Magic laughed it off saying fans "voted the Magic Man to start at PG" so he couldn't disappoint the millions of fans around the world...

The skills possessed by Sampson at 7'4 is something Yao at 7'6 can only "dream" about.. So don't even compare Yao to Shaq - there's no comparisions yet...

Yao's stats are like equal to Brad Daughterty's stats...

Sampson was definitely another one of those guys that didn't like to "bang" down in the paint though. Although part of it was because of his thin stature and also his skill set allowed him to do so and he's always either trying to not get hurt, or trying to prove he can do more than just reach higher than the next person. *shrugs*

AI had gotten himself an all-star MVP and no one even bothered to give him props?

Sheesh, am I the only AI fan here?

I'd be a bigger fan if he played for the Raps.

But he deserves some serious dap...5'10-5'11, buck sixty doing the things he does.

iverson always gets props. i just dont think much of all-star MVP, it's not like AI is the best of the all-stars from winning MVP. i like the way he plays, it's fun to watch but it's too bad his team isn't winning.

Barkley was a great "basketball" player - but a lot of "stupid" stuff comes out of his mouth from time to time....

If not for the likes of Kobe Byrant, Allen Iverson, Vince Carter, and Gary Payton - I'd say Charles says the dumbest things imaginable by a person...

Cut Sir Charles some slack he's a TV personality.

At least he has charisma...unlike Magic.

I'm just upset they chose Charles Barkely over Dennis Rodman (god second son) for that media job.... Bet you Rodman would have been more insightfull...

Dennis Rodman America's one and only "genuis" of the present age....

He would no doubt be President of the USA if he ran for an election... So don't diss the man... So only fitting that he get a gig as a TV presenter to share his vast and expansive knowledge of not only basketball, but of the world...

He is a "winner" 5 times NBA champion... and a has plenty of gusto

Gotta love the trade deadline and the crazy rumors that come with it.

    HOLY #(*%$&*(@#$&*

    Webber/Scrubs to the 76ers for Kenny Thomas/Skinner/Scrub

Been reported by Stephen A. Smith and there's a midnight press conference announced.

If it goes down, you heard it here first and the Kings got owned.
