I think new members can't register cus the registration verification image is down or not working ... anyone know the problem with that? or how to fix? trying to help some people post this problem since they cant without an account! Thanks!

a module of the server is not working correct (gd or gd2) and you can't do anything about it, until it's installed.

A lot of threads at the Sports Talk and Academia are not visible. I don't know if they've been deleted or lost during the recent server crash, but look at the statistics of the threads in the forum:

Sports Talk: 33 threads
Academia : 192 threads

Is it because a cut-off date has been implemented such that old threads are hidden or that those threads have already been deleted?

Image verification in registration temporarily turned off until GD is reinstalled. Sorry for the delay, finally got a chance to work on the site again!

Review system is back up now.. whew.. it wasn't fun going through the all files. For those who care, apparently in newer versions of PHP, the global_register field is set to off by default for security reasons so Sessions had to be handled differently.

Just wanter to say a big Thank You to everyone who helped to bring SPCNET back to us (picture hundreds of us clapping and waving). I only registered recently, but have been visiting for quite some time. I have gotten addicted to ancient chinese tv serials and this site has given me la lot of information on series and actors as well as reviews and translations of some of my favorites like xiao li fei dao. Again, Thank You, and if there is something us members can do the help, please let us know.
