my copy arrived yesterday - the english sub is weird on some discs. it doesn't show up on my dvd player, but it shows up when i play it the PC. the translation is direct, so expect unstructured sentences and misplaced words

the signed poster of LYF is ugly! couldn't they pick a better pic of her? sheesh.

Default Xiao Ao Jiang Hu english subtitles needed

I don't now if this falls under the illegal catagory, but:

I have the Viet version of Xiao Ao Jiang Hu on tape, but the picture quality ain't too great. So when my sister went to Hong Kong, I asked her to find me a DVD copy (with Eng subs if possible). She came back with the DVD's, but there are no subtitles I know there is a version with eng subtitles out there, so I was wondering if anyone could rip the subs for me. I suppose I could go through the Viet version and translate it...but I'm waaay to lazy.

You were lucky you managed to get the Chinese DVD edition as it's pretty hard to get hold of.

What you are looking for is the US licensed DVD version with the English subtitles and there's a thread for it somewhere in this forum. I think the title name is different.

I think the English name on the US release is "Laughing in the Wind". Is this the version you are looking for?

That should be the one. It's in 4 segments released seperately.

Yeah, it's pretty good quality. I'm pretty sure it's the official release (as opposed to a dodgy set). It's 10 DVD's. Shame that I can't understand a thing

Yep, that's the version I was thinking of. I was hoping someone had already ripped the subtitles. I wanted to insert them into my Chinese DVD copies and re-burn them. But I guess I'm going to have to fork out for another set of this series

    Thanks for the replies

Removable subs. That's why I was going to rip the contents, insert the english sub, synch it, then re-burn them. That box set sounds alright.
