Default 9 Yum White Bone Claws vs. Shaolin's Dragon Claws

In the Jin Yong canon, the 9 Yum White Bone Claws and Shaolin's Dragon Claws are the two most renown claw techniques. Which is the better claw technique (setting aside issues of individual fighters' inner power, experience, personality disposition, etc.)?

the authentic white bone claw (displayed by Yellow Dressed girl in HSDS) was very powerful, unlike the version used by MCF, ZZR and YK.

I think that's due to her internal inergy. if she would have used Shaolin Dragon Claw, I think it would be pretty powerful too.

9 Yin Divine Claw would be at least a match for the Dragon Claw.

But in the 3rd edition according to the changes, 9 Yin Bone Claw isn't actually a 9 Yin technique but one of the techniques HS included since his enemies used it. In the light of that, Dragon Claws is probably better now.

I agree with Chrono. Supposedly in Jinyong, the martial arts of the outer regions are not as polished as that of the central plains, and since Huang Shang's martial arts were designed to counter Jiuyin Baiguzhua practiced by the Ming cult, it's probably logical to say that Shaolin's martial arts are more polished than Ming cult's.

Also, when Zhang Wuji was fighting Kong (Sheng?), even he, powered by Jiuyang and Qiankun Danoiyi, couldn't see any flaws whatsoever in the technique itself; he could only defeat the practicioner, but not break the skill itself.

Yeah, and he had to use Dragon Claws to beat Dragon Claws.

Does 9 Yin Claws have any flaw though? I can't recall any.

There are 3 versions of this art:

The fist version was the Jiuyin Bone claws as in Chen Xuanfeng and Mei Chaofeng: This was originally a skill of Huang Shang's enemies. Which was a heretic, lethal and vicious art. (Not sure whether Jiuyin Bone Claws was also the original name of this skill).

The second version was what Huang Shang created, this was called Cuijian Shen Zhao (Indestructible Divine Claws) was the perfected version of the fist one. This skill was not heretic and was designed to counter the first claw type. It was very orthodox and very magnificent.

Huang Yaoshi, in memory, of his two late pupils altered the first version a bit. Making it a bit less lethal but was more powerful than the prototype. However, it was very much inferior to Huang Shang's Indestructible Divine Claws.

I think version 2 would be a good match for Shaolin Dragon Claws. But in the end it depends of course on the practitioner.

Dragon claw was beaten by the Diamond? Fingers of Ah 3.
So does that indicate there are flaws that ZWJ couldnt see or exploit?
Or did it become a match of speed/strength between fingers and claw, like in the ZWJ fight.

I don't think it was a matter of the Dragon Claw technique being beaten, but the martial artist wass beat by a stronger martial artist. Same with Kiu Fung beating all those people with Founder's Fist. It was the Founder's fist that beat all those techniques, but rather KiuFung beating them.
