    @kylagurl
Indeed Yamapi is really cute, my favourite drama from him would be Nobuta wo Produce, he looks really good inside and the story line rocks. You should check out the Yamapi and NwP thread in the forum for more stuff about him.

As for the drama special for HYD2, I have not heard anything about it actually. And I don't think Yamapi will be in HYD2 at all, or even the drama SP (if there's one to begin with). I am looking forward to watching Toma in HYD2 the most, since I do not recall ever watching him act before. I don't have pictures of Toma at the moment (not using my house computer), I could post some later if I can find ^^

    Thumbs up

It would be nice to have more hot guys in HYD, I mean besides MatsuoJun I don't think the other F4 are handsome enough and so Toma with Yamapi into the picture should be good eyecandy. It would be nice to have Yamapi and Jun together in a series.

The first episode of HYD2 is out. It's 2 hours long but those looking to see a lot of Matsujun will be disappointed. He barely appears in this episode.

    OOh!! Hot!
You mean HYD2 is out as in released in Japan?
Means we'll have to wait quite a while before we get it in d-addicts?

This is the best version of HYD in my opinion. Hope you enjoy the series!

What's awesome is that 12 years after Inoue Mao and Matsumoto Jun starred in HYD, they're still receiving leading roles in J-dramas. They're both in their 30's now.

I just started watching 99.9 with Matsumoto Jun that came out last year. It's a quick 10 episodes.

    99.9 synopsis from Wiki:

"The conviction rate for criminal cases in Japan is 99.9%. However, this hides a big danger. Once indicted, there is a tendency to accept the prosecution’s story at face value. There are also extremely few lawyers that specialise in criminal cases. Therefore, a thorough verification is very difficult. This is a drama about a team of expert criminal lawyers who pursues the truth that may be hiding in the remaining 0.1%."

I actually just finish season one and I thought it was pretty good. Will start Season 2 later. I like how it gets straight to the point. I read from other online users that Matsumoto Jun and Inoue Mao were a real life couple after this series and they just recently got married.

I will watch 99.9 afterwards, thank you for the recommendation. How do you like it so far?

I didn't know Matsumoto Jun and Inoue Mao are together. How wonderful for them!

I've only watched 1 episode for 99.9 because the episodes are really long. Episode 1 was almost 1 hr 30 mins. That's almost film length! I do plan on continuing the series though. It reminded me a lot of Hero (also a legal/crime solving series) with Kimura Takuya which I also love. I did watch 99.9 subbed so I felt that some aspect of the Japanese language did not seem to get translated. You know how sometimes the characters keep talking and having a full length conversation but the subs is just one short sentence? I'm pretty sure I missed some stuff with the language barrier.

On the whole, I plan on continuing the series because I'm curious how the shaky, newly formed partnership between Matsumoto Jun's character and his grumpy stern partner will play out. Don't see much romance in this series and I hope it'll stay that way. The interaction between the lead male and female doesn't seem as interesting as the intellectual/occasional clashing of wits relationship between Matsumoto Jun and his partner.

I found this link that says they are dating but mostly read user comments at the end of episode comments. I'm having a heard time finding part two so I may start 99.9 since I was able to find that. Is there really a movie after season two?

Yes, there is a special after the second series that wraps up the entire story. I have fond memories of season 1 and have a vague recollection of season 2. But I don't think I've seen the special.

I watched the Japanese version (both seasons) of this starring Mao Inoue and Matsumoto Jun a long time ago. There's a modern version of it called Love O2O with someone who look like Mao Inoue at times and a boy even more handsome and well-dressed than Matsumoto Jun. If you thought HYD story is good, then LO2O's story is great.

I've seen Love O2O. It's a fun light series that I enjoyed very much. It made me feel very nostalgic for a chinese mmorpg called Perfect World International that I played obsessively for almost 6 years before finally quitting.

Wait, I don't even see that as a adaptation of Hana Yori Dango. It's not the same.

Are you sure? I don't believe it's true. The rumors keep popping up, but I don't think it's official news.

I'm not sure but I do see people saying that on video comments.
