Yang Mi has apparently been cast in the role of Princess Fragrance for the latest adaptation of "Book and Sword".

I'm undecided (provided the news is accurate) whether this is good news for YM. It should help with her career since JY adaptations are almost always popular with the audience though PF is a much disliked, damsel-in-distress type of character. Nonetheless, I think Yang Mi is pretty suited to portray PF- she has the looks (need to put on a abit of weight though) and that innocence and sweetness that PF is supposed to possess. Plus she looks great in tribal costume. There was a photoshopped pic of her in tribal costume floating about this forum sometime ago and i remember commenting that she would make a very appropriate-looking PF!

She was cast as PF but had to be replaced by another actress as she fell sick and couldnt make it on time for filming.

Yes! Is that deliberate? Is the character of Qingwen suppose to be old or something? I'm not familiar with Honglou Meng but I don't think that's the case.
