Is it just me or does YM look extra cheerful & vibrant on the Gong 2 set? Like she's genuinely happy & having a fun time (probably cause she's around ppl she's close & comfortable with. But despite that, I'm still glad she's merely guest-starring.

Yang MI
Yang Mi (born September 12, 1986) is a Chinese actress. She is best known for her role as Guo Xiang in the 2006 television series The Return of the Condor Heroes and as Tang Xuejian in Chinese Paladin 3. However, she has been gaining even greater popularity through her role as Luo Qingchuan in Palace.

Yang is a student at the Performance Institute of Beijing Film Academy.

Yang began acting at the age of four. She played a minor role as Beggar So's daughter in King of Beggars (1992), which starred Stephen Chow as the titular character. In the late 2000s, Yang rose to fame for her roles in television series such as The Return of the Condor Heroes (2006) and Chinese Paladin 3 (2009). Her popularity increased after she starred as Luo Qingchuan in Palace (2011). Her increase in popularity from her performance in Palace helped land her a role in Gordon Chan's Painted Skin 2. In 2010 she participated in Empires of the Deep, a Chinese-American co-produced film with a budget of US$100 million. In 2011, Mei Ah Entertainment announced that it will be producing four tailored-made films for Yang due to the box office success of the horror film Mysterious Island (2011), which starred Yang.

China's TV drama Gong earns high ratings
Gong -- also known as Gongsuoxinyu, Qing Palace -- is currently China's hottest TV drama, as reported by Beiww.com. During the last two weeks, the show has received over 100 million views on Youku, a Chinese video streaming site.

Directed by Mai Da Jie, the drama follows Qing-chuan Luo (Yang Mi), a young woman from the present time, who time travels to the Qing Dynasty, during Emperor Kangxi's time. She falls into a love triangle, as she's torn between Yin Si (Feng Shao Feng), the 8th Prince, and Yin Zhen (Mickey He), the 4th Prince and future emperor Yong Zheng. Filled with magic, love, jealousy, and hatred, the dramatic storyline has contributed to the high viewership ratings of Hunan TV.

(On the other hand, YM probably only has a few years of acting left since Chinese actresses generally quit the business once they get married--and YM herself has hinted at that--meanwhile Chinese actors keep going for decades. So in the long run FSF fans are probably luckier...lol.)

lucky i m also fsf fans now just becos of fengmi.. but of cos ym is still in first place.. if one day ym and fsf have a fight . i will stand on ym side and no doubt i will scold fsf the hell out of him lol.. but i hope that will never happen.,

Looking forward to her role in Mei Ren Tian Xa. Her role as a spirit demon seems so interesting. Love how her character seems so morally ambiguous too. Don't know if she's evil or good.
