The girl on the left of Tang Yan (who's in a white off-shoulder dress) is Qi Wei - she starred with Hu Ge in Unbeatable II, as well as with Peter Ho in Unbeatable I. She was also Ruby/Dou Yi Fang's spoilt daughter in Mei Ren Xin Ji and Peter Ho's fake girlfriend in Summer's Bubble.

Omg I knew YM was attending this event before but I had no idea we were getting so many cute pics out of it! XD Excuse me while I catch up on all the awesome pictures, I'm going to have to picspam this thread again with it all! ^_^ Yang Mi looks like she had lots of fun taking a break from Mount Wudang and catching up with all her girlfriends.

YangMi sang a new version of the song 爱的供养http://music.weibo.com/ting/play/sho...oflag=200022#0 sounds quite different from her original version...

Hearing the new version I was quite impressed by the improvement in her vocal range. I think she did get some professional vocal training before she recorded her album and looks like it paid off. With the first version, you could tell the higher notes were super auto-tuned and over-processed; meanwhile this new version is much less processed--it actually sounds like her real voice hitting those notes! However, somehow I still prefer the old version (maybe I'm just used to it)...this version sounds really "raw" and off-key at parts. Can't tell if it's Yang Mi singing off-key or if it's just due to the slight changes in the melody that I'm not used to. (Reminds me of Yang Mi saying that she was "wu yin bu quan"--i.e. couldn't sing on-key and was not musically-inclined as a kid; she said when she told her Dad she might be making an album, his reaction was: "Please don't...wait until I'm deaf before recording an album!" Funny because I was pretty impressed by little 6-year-old YM singing in her TV series--I thought she sang better as a little girl! )

Apparently Yang Mi switched seats so that she could sit beside Tang Yan and Qi Wei (and pulled LSS along with her)! Some lucky YM fans got prime seating right behind her and took some candid pics of her with the girls. I think this is the first time since CP3 we got pics of MiShi together and only the second time of MiTang? (and the other time was just a few super blurry low-quality pics of YM/TY at the other LeTV awards). And of course, can't forget Qi Wei who YM is good friends with ever since MRXJ...I really have to thank these event organizers! ^_^

Apart from accepting her own award ("Most Liked Movie Actress"--kind of the "mirror" to Tang Yan who received "Most Liked TV Actress"), Yang Mi also went to accept an award for Gong together with Mickey He (FSF is still in Tibet filming HP2--YM even commented that she's always accepted Gong awards with FSF so it's nice to accept the award with Mickey this time, lol). Mickey was nice enough to help YM in her heels up/down the stairs by holding onto her wrist/hand, but I don't think it can count as actual hand-holding. In fact, I can't seem to remember YM actually holding hands at these type of events with any of her male costars except for FSF! ^_^ (Who she seems to come out holding hands with at every opportunity, lol. ) I don't even remember any YM/Hu Ge handholding during CP3 promo?? And since Gong aired, she's appeared at events with Li Chen, Chi Shuai, Shawn Yue, Vic Zhou, Hawick Lau (among others) yet there's been no handholding with any of them either! (The closest was her holding onto Li Chen/Shawn/Hawick's arm when they appeared at events together, but no actual holding hands.)

(Just sayin'... Sorry, just had to comment on that observation...then again I might've just forgotten/overlooked her other hand-holding incidents, haha.)

Apparently, director Li Yu also attended the event and said she really likes Yang Mi, plus has thought about inviting her to participate in one of her next projects! ^_^ Li Yu has worked with FBB multiple times on several of her high-profile movies, and also happens to currently be the director of "Er Ci Bao Guang"--i.e. the movie FBB and FSF are filming right now. :P (Not saying it has anything to do with FSF...just thought it was a funny coincidence that Li Yu picked FSF as the male lead in her movie and is now saying she also likes YM! I wouldn't have pegged a serious director like her as someone who watches a drama like "Gong", but hey, who knows...or maybe she got to know them through their other projects?)

Fandoms collide!!! Tian Liang (I adored him a few years ago when he was a gold-medal Olympic diver) and Yang Mi beside each other! (Apparently they will be collaborating together in a movie along with several other athletes/actors; this is not a big-budget movie, I think it's more of a TV-movie that is meant for promo/info/public service-type purposes and YM is just helping out by appearing as a minor role.)

Hate to break it to you...(I was disappointed myself)...but, this probably won't happen in the near future. I don't know if Yuan Hong will be acting in one of FWSC's series in the near future, but YM won't. According to fans who have followed her for a long time, FWSC apparently really likes Yang Mi and has invited her to play the female lead in 3 of her series already (don't know the truth of this since this is not public knowledge, it is just "insider info" from the fans--no idea where they get this info but they do seem to be pretty accurate). Unfortunately, YM was never able to make the time in her busy schedule. Apparently there was some hope recently that YM might play a small role in an upcoming FWSC drama to express her thanks and apology that she wasn't able to make it yet--however, one of the "insiders" among YM fans recently revealed that she isn't able to accept the role after all because once again her schedule is too packed.

There seems to be a lot of goodwill and mutual respect between FWSC and YM so there is a high likelihood that she'll have a role in one of "Fei Da"'s dramas in the future--well, I guess provided that YM slows down her pace and doesn't keep making her schedule impossible to accept these roles! >_< (Sometimes I really wonder if it's her choice or the company's to pack her schedule this much since it sounds like it's making her miss out on a lot of roles...)

So, if FWSC also really likes Yuan Hong, perhaps in the future we will get a collaboration, eventually. Funnily enough, two of YM's recent male costars who she's been rumoured with (FSF and Hawick Lau) have both had major roles in FWSC series before (FSF in "Jia Qi Ru Meng" and Hawick in the recent "Qian Shan Mu Xue"). While FWSC's series always seem to be only "moderately popular" (not huge smash hits like Hunan TV series), they do all seem to be of excellent quality with sensible plots and characters (unlike many of Hunan TV dramas), though they also seem to be very tragic...
