Lol, I kinda feel bad for Mickey...you'd think they would at least put up some scenes of QingChuan/4th seeing as he's the one accepting the award with YM...but instead it's still all just scenes of YM/8th.

Anyways, apparently the entire awards show is being broadcast on TV on Nov. 2nd, so we'll get better video of it then.

Heheh, I just watched a low-quality fan-taken video of her pre-awards show interview. What's funny is, a lot of interviewers mix up "MiFeng" and "FengMi" (when referring to YM's fans--in fact even YM herself mixed it up once back in January!). Once again here, the female interviewer says, "All of us, including many FengMi, hopes Yang Mi will take care of her health--" Then the male interviewer cuts in, "How come it's FengMi, isn't it MiFeng??" Female interviewer: "Aiya, FengMi/MiFeng it's all the same!!", and Yang Mi laughs. Even YM's agent once said, "MiFeng, FengMi...it's all one family!"

Scenery is so lovely! That's the back of Vicki in the last pic--she actually completed filming a day or two ago and Chen Kun/FSF are finishing up their scenes. It's interesting that the 3 human characters (Vicki, CK, FSF) have scenes in Tibet while the two "demon/spirit" characters (Zhou Xun and Yang Mi) do not...hmmmm.

Apparently we will be getting a preliminary trailer of sorts soon (sometime in November I think?). Can't wait!

This is a bit random but does anyone know a website where I can find Yang Mi products and that will ship to the U.S? I've tried Yesasia but they only have her TV series and Mysterious Island. They're pretty expensive, too. I found this great website with plenty of YM goods BUT you have to be either a Chinese or Taiwanese citizen to even apply for an account.
It's still really awesome cause it has the necklace from Symphony of Fate, various magazines, clothes and makeup she endorsed, her prayer beads, photo books, CDs, ALL of her cell phone cases, AND the pillow for Palace, ect. (I kinda want to move to China or Taiwan now just so I could buy YM merchandise.)

CCTV once again did a news report on Yang Mi attending the two events from 2 days ago! ^_^ Her fans made a cut of just the segments featuring her, which I subbed and uploaded to YT: (you can notice the "sudden cuts" in several parts of the video)




swtaznlaydee, you are getting your wish of seeing Yang Mi and Du Chun work together! :P (As for me, I'm loving the Yang Mi/Tian Liang bits... )

Yang Mi talks about her role in the new movie and how filming her current movie on Mount Wudang is helping her get back in shape. (Note: Yang Mi and Dou Xiao were not actually the only ones who showed up without a "partner", but I appreciated the bit of CCTV's FengMi shipping they managed to slip in there. )

Too bad I can't find high-quality video of YM's interview after the awards show--there's only a shaky, blurry version available. It's a pretty good interview--her answers are very professional and intelligent as usual (even some person in the entertainment business, who I guess was present at the interview, commented on how smart she came across in her interview). YM says that the past week or so, when she was doing her martial arts training, was one of the most relaxing she's had in 2 years! Since she can sleep till she wakes up naturally, then go for afternoon training, and at night enjoy dinner with the rest of the cast. So she's "recharging her batteries" before starting crazy filming again in November (looks like it might be not 2...but 3 movies she'll be doing at the same time...although she probably only has a few small scenes in this "sports" movie).

Anyways, funnily enough, FSF's "White Vengeance" will be released on the same day as "Dong Cheng Xi Jiu"--the movie in which YM has a one-scene cameo role! I think there are only 3 movies being newly released that day (Nov. 24), from what I saw on the list anyways, so I thought it was a pretty funny coincidence.

is her schedule really that packed? she's only shooting one movie now and attending award shows. i love it that she's so busy; however, i'm glad that she's getting some rest. i would like to see ym and du chun in an ancient series together, or ym and yh in an ancient series together, or ym and hu ge again.

i don't see how du chun will pair up with ym in this promotion for the olympics seeing that he will play a doctor and she with be the direction fairy.

so any news on the nic tse collaboration?

an i'm totally lookin forward to painted skin 2 trailer even though i'm afraid of horror or supernatural flicks.

Err...hmm, actually they might not have scenes together...hard to tell...in the video YM says she's playing a "xian nu" ("goddess/fairy") character who appears to help/guide lost souls type of thing, while Du Chun says he is playing a sports doctor for the athletes.

Well, it isn't a *true* movie so I doubt there is any romance anyways, it's more of a "public service"/promo-for-Olympics type of movie that will probably air on TV. It seems like Qi Wei is participating too since she was in the press conference, same with Mickey He. Then you have the "celeb athletes". I think it's more of a "nice thing" for Yang Mi and the other people participating to do, lending their fame to help out with the project by bringing more attention to it. I don't expect any of them to have a ton of scenes.

Yang Mi also participated in promo for the Beijing 2008 Olympics (recall the badminton photos) so it seems like she's just continuing the tradition. I like that she never hesitates to take time out to help with these public service projects (like the Olympics stuff and her previous participation in the Women's day fitness thing--btw it's refreshing to see her promote things like healthy eating and exercise rather than being in ads for dieting/weight loss products) as well as charity events (for different causes like natural disasters, the environment, poor kids who can't afford university, breast cancer, etc) despite the fact that it would probably be easy for her to just say she's too busy for them.

This month has actually been extremely lax for her (relatively speaking to her usual)--she's actually done very little filming in October (probably partly due to the fact that her role in "Windseeker" was canceled). However, starting next month is when she'll be back to her busy shooting schedule (possibly the 3 projects at once). The Nic Tse collab is still being kept wayyyy on the down-low, so not much more news or any changes on that front--we're still waiting for official announcements.

(Although what's funny is...I've seen a thread on Baidu of people "speculatively" shipping Nic/YM already--i.e., the *other* FengMi couple. Well, Nic is single now again so they're free to do so...Although, the two of them are certainly similar in that both are very hard-working, have had a bit of a rough time on their path in the entertainment industry, and always seem to be the target of the media making up various rumours about them. )

Have you seen Painted Skin the first one? I avoid horror/supernatural movies like the plague but for some reason I am totally cool with (and even slightly fascinated by) the Liao Zhai stories, including Xiao Qian and Hua Pi. I think it's to do with the fact that they are not *strict* horror, but they sort of "humanize" the demons and give them feelings/motivations that make you sympathize with them even though they "eat" humans.

At any rate I think they are holding a celebratory/closing press conference for Hua Pi 2 soon, once filming finishes (actually I believe today may be the last day of filming for Chen Kun/FSF). It sounds like Chen Kun is playing a general of sorts and perhaps FSF is his "second-in-command" type of thing, since he mentioned he has the most scenes with YM and CK. I'm getting really curious about YM's role which we seem to know so little about...I don't know who she has scenes with apart from FSF. She was definitely doing HP2 filming prior to FSF (she joined the cast while FSF was still working on White Vengeance, so he joined later; after he came YM seemed to be doing mainly filming with him, however, I don't think there was much news on who she was acting with in the first half).

Hopefully both FSF and YM attend that press conference so we get more pics/video of them! They need to release some stills and/or posters for that movie stat, I'm getting really impatient. The fan-made stuff just isn't doing it for me...the bad thing about movies (apart from the fact that they are so short and I'm used to getting to watch my favourite Asian actors for 30+ episodes) is that there is so little filming info being released!!! Everything is kept such a mystery! (Meanwhile, TV dramas keep getting their whole plot spoiled completely...there needs to be a balance! ) We barely have any idea what YM will be up to after November...same for FSF, seems like these movies don't do official announcements till pretty much filming is about to start. >_<

Heheh, not gonna lie, the thought definitely crossed my mind! Well, after he tried to convince his "White Vengeance" producer to pair him and YM up in a movie, it's not much of a stretch if he repeated it on his current director Li Yu... Maybe she already did like YM and FSF just encouraged it all the more?

LOL, yeah that was the reaction of some people..."he already has kids!!! You want YM to be with a dad?! And a divorced man?!" Anyways I think half the people were just joking--partially stemming from the fact that YM fangirls Nic (along with seemingly half the other young actresses her age, lol--e.g. I think Tang Yan is another Nic Tse fangirl). The general consensus though is that YM just views Nic as a "celeb idol" and there won't be anything actually going on there. So nothing to worry about there! (Seriously, from her recent weibo posts she just seems completely happily in love so I don't think she'll be ditching her guy, even for Nic Tse. XD Not to mention, I imagine Nic himself is probably too busy with his career/kids and recovering from his sadly failed marriage... )

Ok, I am about to gush on about FengMi again because they are just too cute (as always) so I can't resist, but before that I will post some actual Yang Mi news, lol. These past few days she's been taking a break from Wudang by attending various promo stuff.

This is cute--a few of YM's fans who sat behind YM at the "Xin Shi Li" awards event caught this pic of her looking back at them. Apparently, at one point they were screaming so loudly when she got the award that Yang Mi turned around, jokingly glared at them, and teased, "Have you guys gone completely crazy?!" She's always so aware of her fans.
