^ Funny thing is, in news articles YM's character keeps being described as being a key person with exciting scenes opposite both Nic Tse and Sean Lau...even the director mentioned before that her character has some very important scenes, and she definitely should be the female lead (although of course this type of movie is mainly male-dominated). But then we don't actually get anything much in terms of promotion! It doesn't seem like they are just saying that stuff in interviews to get YM's fans to tune in, because the best way to do that would be to heavily promote her in posters/trailers (the way a few other movies did even though she only had a few minutes screentime). Whereas "The Bullet Vanishes" is kind of doing the opposite!

Some people suggest maybe her character needs to be kept more mysterious due to the nature of the film...and perhaps does have a hidden identity? I hope these guesses are true, but either way, even if YM just has a small role I'm still interested in this movie for the plot and other actors.

Also, apparently they got Nic's fans excited at the press conference because the director teased they had to cut some of Nic's "bed scenes" in the movie to pass the ratings board, and Nic joked, "then didn't we do it all for nothing??" Most people assume it is with YM but who knows... It's funny though since I don't think Nic usually does those scenes in movies (he barely even has kiss scenes).

Hua Pi 2 looks grand, majestic and all but I agree with pat that the CGI's kinda overdone (nice scenery though, was it filmed in Tibet?) and I actually have no idea what the general plot is based on the trailer. The story is not related to Hua Pi 1 right?

I don't think it's that related to HP1, although Zhou Xun's character is a continuation of her HP1 character. And yes, it was partially filmed in Tibet, but only CK, Vicki, and FSF had scenes there (YM and ZX did not go).

"Mini Yang" has been showing up on her album posters and now movie posters, so I guess it is "official"...but I still hope someone will tell her how ridiculous-sounding it is and change it, lol.

Oh ok, I just watched video of "The Bullet Vanishes" press conference and it is confirmed Nic's "bed scene" is with Yang Mi:

FSF does most of the talking--he says YM (being the demon) often bullies him in the movie (he must be a pretty terrible demon hunter, LOL....considering YM said she isn't even a very "advanced" demon! ). He also talks about the "going hungry and having to watch YM eat all the good food" thing.

Her fans pointed out that these nude Louboutins seem to be her favourite shoes lately--she's worn them to like 10 other events already in the past 3 months! I remember awhile ago she had a pair of black Louboutins that she wore to a ton of events too but I guess she likes these ones better now.

yeah! finally some ym goodies. she looks adorable at the hp2 promotion even if she appears a bit fatigued. i have to admit, even though fengmi is no more, they look better together these days because both have been styled better. can't wait to see the wudang promo.

and wow, ym gets to do a bed scene with her favorite idol...i wonder how many takes it took ym to get the scene done right. i'm sure hawick will be jealous when he sees the bed scene...or maybe not since they had to cut the steamy scene. lol...

^ Nah, I don't think they cut all of it...probably just the steamier parts LOL. (Although I don't think there is anything too racy anyways, considering it's a thriller movie and neither Nic or YM have really done anything that daring before--although, I think YM has some pretty heavy makeout sessions with Shawn Yue in "Love in the Buff". )

I do wonder how long it took YM to get over her nerves though...considering how nervous and flustered she was just meeting Nic that first time.

wow~ lots of new update
preparing for a movie marathon this is my ranking:
1. Da Wu Dang --- because I'm dying to see her in action, espcially martial art and also like everyone said, her only lead movie = more scene of her
2. "The Bullet Vanishes" --- uhh... still not use to this new name But can't wait to see her interaction with Nic Tse and the mysterious/thriller give it an edge over Painted Skin
3. Painted Skin: The Resurrection --- CGI isn't my favorite since I'm a person who prefer reality. Although it has great cast and probably YM's cutest character
4. On My Way --- YM and Qi Wei is the only reason I want to see this, sure hope they have scene together. Love their friendship

I used to think that they made a mistake on her english name when it was printed on the album cover... like Mini and MiMi because she does go by that nickname (I think ) Boy, I sure do hope that she'll change her english name if she ever goes big or to hollywood movies

^ I must be the only one who ranks Da Wudang behind "The Bullet Vanishes" and "Painted Skin 2", lol! While I think YM has the most screentime in Da Wudang and I'm definitely looking forward to her cool fight scenes (the trailer scenes REALLY makes me wish she did more wuxia series as she looks so perfect for them!), the other two appeal to me more in terms of the plot and general feel of the movie.


Anyways, HK premiere of "Love in the Buff" was today, pictures to come later!

Yang Mi's wings in HP2 is pretty cool. I haven't watched a bird spirit on screen for long time. I love watching this liaozhai stories, but the way these beings look is a bit spooky and don't give me the usual liaozhai story feel. More so than HP1. I'll end up watching it in the end, but maybe during the day. lol

Yang Mi's name is pretty easy to pronounce. If you can pronounce "Mi"nnie "Yang" then you should be able to say Yang Mi. Mini or Minnie don't have any big star feel to it and is very downsizing (why not BIG...j/k) and I don't think it'll match her 5 years down the road. Imagine her going to a international award or something and they say, now here is "MINNIE Yang!" I really like how Yang Mi sounds.

wow...ym's body is looking much more tone these days. those legs in that dress are long!!!!

seems like no one likes the name mini...i hope she gets the hint. the only 2 famous minnies i know are minnie mouse (adorable child's idol) and minnie driver (hollywood actress i don't get). she should stick to a more conventional name or a great but adult and star worthy unique name.

^ I know, she is giving Ady a run for her money in terms of "best figure". I've always been jealous that both of them are not-that-tall (well ok pretty tall but not model-tall, just average among celebs) yet seem to have legs that go on forever!! XD (Although actually, when I first saw these pics I thought, YM is getting a bit too skinny again... but at least now she looks more "toned-skinny"...)

As for her English "name", I'm just choosing to ignore it for now. XD (Seriously though you would think Hawick would at least say something, apparently he went to university in Canada, does he not realize how ridiculous this name sounds?? He should do us all a favour and clue her in. )

Apparently Yang Mi was actually quite sick at the Pepsi press conference--she was running a high fever of 40+ degrees yesterday but still attended the Pepsi event as well as made a quick appearance at a "Love in the Buff" promo event before going off to get IV again in hospital... T_T
