I watched up to ep 4 and the series is alright.....

The relationship between Raymond and Michelle is very cute and not what you call different but like one is the very smart and capable one and the other is the very innocent and trusting tape.....

It reminds me of the relations between 'Wong Jun and Jin Gor Gor' in Condor hero...

The first generations not the Andy/lOUis generations.....


It's cute thou and you could tell that at the very first sight of Michelle he found her too be very pretty and all and same goes with Rain Li..

The difference is the two girls personality and how they diff from each other...

I'm sure he likes Rain Li at first becoz he did see her naked, no thanks to Michelle.....


You can tell his relationship with Michelle is the type where he likes her but jsut doesn't really realize it untill the very end..

One last thing, Rain LI is nto that good loooking or pretty in this series compare to michelle...

The ridiculous thing i found in this series is the entrance that the two made, soo dump looking , i mean, ones OK; but both of them flying in and all, is pretty lame.......

Episode Six - Mit Fat fails to gain the leadership

Wai manages to find Mui and rescues her and also finds out that Mit Fat is on his way to Mong Shan to try and gain the Leader position. Wah is worried about the safety of Mong Shan and secretly returns but is stopped by Nam, Wai misunderstands and things that Nam is picking on Wah. Hung nominates Yee to become the next leader of Mong Shan, but just at this time, Mit Fat appears to lay claim on the position and severely injures Yee, luckily Wah arrives just in time and defeats Mit Fat and forgetting their differences in the past, she helps to tend to Yee's injuries. Fung recognises that Nam was the person who stole the manual and discusses with Fu about how to work against her.

Mou apologises for wrongly accusing Wai and points out that he believes Wah was not the murderer of their master for the sake of the leadership, but he is still wary of the identity of Nam, Wai says that he is sure of Nam's personality and when Nam overhears this, she is pleased. Nam unknowingly shows her jealousy against Wah and she feels uncomfortable about this. Mit Fat meets with Kong, Hong and Mui on his travels and decides to kill them to vent his frustrations, Fu arrives to stop him and suggests that they use the three as bait to bring vengeance on Wai and Nam. Everyone asks Wah to stay at Mong Shan, whereas Yee forces Wah to return the manual, urging Fung to be witness and tell of who the thief was, Fung is reluctant to tell them about Nam for fear that he will lose the chance for the return of the manual. To prove her innocence, Wah decides to leave Mong Shan and find the manual and return it to Yee.

To save his own life, Kong surrenders to Mit Fat and writes a letter to tempt Wai into a trap. Yee finds out that Fung is following Wai and the others and offers to accompany him. Wai receives Kong's letter instructing him to meet him in an old temple three days later and is a little puzzled, but believes he must have his reasons for this and Wai finally sees through the secret message in the letter. Kong sets up a trap for Wai and in an attempt to seek vengeance for Nam's previous ambush, he adds some poisoned needles to the trap.

Episode Seven - Kam Yee's poison takes effect and she offers herself to Hiu Fung

Wai, Nam and Wah agree on a location and defeat Mit Fat and Fu. Yee and Fung continue to follow them all and find themselves falling into the trap and injured by the poisoned needles. Wai tells of the secret within Kong’s letter, Mui and Hong realised that they have mistaken him. In order to save his life, Mit Fat tells the truth about Lung all those years ago, Nam suggests using torture, but he is rescued by an invader in black. Fung and Yee are affected by Fu’s poison and it begins to take effect, under the influence, Yee offers herself to Fung, he promises to take responsibility, but Yee wants to forget the whole thing and decides to go their own ways.

Mui knows that Wah suspects that Nam stole the manual and plans to try and search Nam’s room, but she alarms everyone and Wai believes Nam, Mui storms off. Wah apologises to Nam for this, but Nam does not accept the apology. The next day, Mui and Nam both go missing and searches prove fruitless, Wah suggests that Hong returns to the Lee family to discuss the matter. It turns out that Nam pretends to be angry and returns to the rundown temple to retrieve the manual, there she unexpectedly meets Fung and Fu, Fung notices Nam who is hiding in the beams, but doesn’t say and turns the tables to follow her.

Nam receives a letter from Fung about retrieving the manual and she underestimates her foe and Fung snatches the manual back and falls victim to Fu’s poisoned dart. Wai sees the happy and bustling New Year atmosphere in the marketplace and is very curious, Wah explains all the customs to Wai and Kong sighs that the three of them have no family, Wai suggests that they spend the new year together at old temple and to decorate it for the festival. Mou is attracted by the snake soup which Wai has cooked up and contributes by making Beggar Chicken for them, after much eating and drinking, Mou suggests that Wai and Wah should be married, making her very embarrassed.

I just watched the themevid of the series, weird. It was fast and then slow, then fast, and then slow again and it doesn't fit to be in an ancient series.
Anyone watched this yet? How's the fighting scenes in here? Is it like HSDS 2000 with all those colorful smokes and graphics?

Episode Eight - Chung Mou falls victim to the evil plots

Wai and Wah and the others spend the New Year and in place of presents, Mou teaches Wai and Kong some of the Dog Beating techniques and praises Wai’s great martial art grounding. Wai cannot stand Kong’s pleas and in turn teaches him “The art of leaving clothes and loosening armour” for use in escaping, Mou and Wah try him out and are impressed. Mou must hurry to Luoyang’s Lung Mun cave to host the Beggars Sect Meeting so he bids his farewells to the others. Kong accidentally finds out that the deputy leader of the Beggars Sect Tung Siu Tin and an elder of the Silken Robe Sect are plotting together with the imperial court against Mou and he is terrified, later he is spotted but he uses the trick that Wai has taught him to escape and tells Wai of his findings. Wai decides to hurry to Luoyang’s Heaven Scent Inn to rescue Mou, unfortunately he has already drunk Tin’s poison.

Nam disguises herself as the innkeeper and finds her way into Heaven Scent Inn to ensure that they have succeeded in murdering Mou, however when she sees that Wai has appeared, she instantly offers to smuggle out Wai and Mou, at this time, another innkeeper appears and in order to keep her secret, she has no choice but to kill her accomplice. Kong and Wah arrive at Luoyang, but cannot find any news of Wai and Mou’s whereabouts. Nam uses some medicine to prolong Mou’s life and takes him and Wai to the derelict Lai family home to stay, but with Mou’s poison growing deeper and deeper, Wai can only transfer internal energy to him to help with his pain.

Only when Nam faints does Wai realise that she has been hiding her own injuries and yet gave the last of her medicine to Mou, Wai can only tend to her injuries with herbal remedies. Nam sees that Wai has spent the whole evening looking after her and is touched. Nam knows that Mou does not have long to live and allows him to drink to his hearts content to fulfil his last wish. As Mou dies, he passes on the Dog Beating Technique in full to Wai and also gives him the Dog Beating Staff, telling him to go and find the Dirty Robed deputy Kwok Jing, and to work together to rid the sect of the traitors, before naming him as the thirty-eighth leader of the Beggars Sect, Wai is shocked.

hi, this series looks quite good, i haven't been reading any of the above replys coz i dun want to ruin it. but i wanted to knoe if this is another martial art series with a lot of fighting without the use of special effects or is it dominated by LOVE where it gets too sappy nd that is all it talks about LOVE nd REGRETS. i'm hoping its not coz thats not my kind of genre. a bit is ok but when it is dominated i just can't stand it

hey is this series actually good? cos i've only seen the first 3 episodes.......so not much of a judgement....and it seems to be a bit slow paced.....i mean it's only 20 episodes.....so shouldn't the stuff happen faster?

hai...there i currently watching this series...think they cut off lot...example they neva show how raymond caught the snake in the Kay Yeun...some more dun know why TVB started to divide the screen..showing their eyes,mouth, legs.....hahahah quite irritating...

Haha ice cream - and for a moment there I thought I had an assistant! Never mind....

Watched a few eps of this over the weekend and thought it was pretty good. Very classical martial arts series, with some twenty-first century special effects, but Michelle and Raymond are so wooden (probably their characters - not as quirky as in EH). Thank goodness for Chan Kwok Bong and Mimi Lo's comedic respite to pull me from the monotony. (Watch out for Mimi's one-liners... they are sharp - esp when it comes to her plankish cousin!)

Anyway - enough from me, here is some more from the show ...

Episode Nine - Shing Nam finds the key to why the Lai family was massacred

Wai and Nam are both upset over the death of Mou. Wah predicts that Wai will appear at the Beggars Sect Meeting and decides to head to the Lung Mun cave with Kong. Nam wants Wai to compare her to Wah, Wai does his best to change the subject so he asks her what happened to change the Lai Family Lodge, Nam tells of how fifteen years ago, her family was massacred and she was locked away in the wine cellar by her mother and escaped persecution before being adopted by someone until she returned once again three years ago and found the forty three bodies of her family in the courtyard. Wai tells of the meaning behind his name given to him by his master in an attempt to encourage her.

Wai inadvertently breaks the arm from Nam’s rag doll and finds that there is half a map inside it, he believes this was the key to the massacre of the Lai family all those years ago. Mui runs out of money and is very hungry, luckily she meets Chung Chin in the market and tells him to buy her dinner, Mui cannot stand Chin’s nagging and takes a chance to escape, but overhears the conversation between Tung and Ye about their plans. Tung notices Mui and captures her. Tung has his eyes on a legendary manual conceived by Kiu Bak Ming which can be used to control the five major sects and he believes this has fallen into the hands of the Beggars Sect Leader at the time Hung Tsat Tung.

Wah is mistaken as Kam Yee by the innkeeper and he gives her and Kong the room which Hiu Fung has reserved in advance, they later realise the mistake and Wah returns the room rather awkwardly. Fung misunderstands Kam Hung’s words and thinks that Kam Yee is pregnant. Lee Ying and his wife know that Mui likes a crowd, so they decide to try their luck at the Beggars Sect Meeting as well. Nam is worried that one day, Wai will find out her real identity, so she tests Wai to see whether he would accept this and forgive her, Wai agrees that as long as he understands her reasons then he will not bear a grudge against her, Nam is overjoyed when she hears this.
