What I find about DGQB is that his sword philosophies were simply fascinating. Since we never see him in action, I believe his philosophies outrank the skills of the Gu Long characters. Jin Yong intended him to be the "God of sword" figure in his universe, so why don't we rely on that instead of trying to match the DGQB of ROCH with the story of DGSD. Even though the two novels have many things in common, I think it does allow room for some unexplained inconsistencies or mystries between the two.

Umm, DGQB's sword philosophies are common to almost all GL's elite swordsmen. It has even been mentioned that a lot of that stuff may have come out of discussions JY and GL had.

I don't know the more I read about DGQB and the whole unproven myth about the guy, the more I found his story to be a made-up balony. His philosophy, ok I give him a credit for it but I just can't buy his lame story.
