Default Yi Jen Qing, Sweeper Monk, & Demi-Gods & Semi-Devils

Some questions from someone who is unable to read the original.

    1. why did ah chu sneak into shaolin temple to steal the yi jen qing? how did she know where the manual was hidden.

    2. the manual was given by ah chu to siew feng. siew feng later dropped the manual and was picked up by you tan zhi or the iron head boy.
the iron head boy learnt the yi jen qing.
the question is this: the yi jen qing is a nei-gung (internal strength) manual, so where did you tan zhi learnt the gung-fu moves. according to the chona version of the series, it was ah zhi who taught him seng sok loi gwai sect gung-fu. is this accurate.

    3. did the manual landed into the hands of jiu mor zhee? according to the china-series, jiu mor chee had the manul but in the end handed it to duan yu to take back to shaolin temple. is this accurate? if jiu mor zhee had the manual when did he take it from you tan zhi?

    4. do the shaolin monks know the identity of the sweeper monk? in the china series version, the sweeper monk lectured siew yuan sun and mo rung bo in front of some senior monks. if this is the case, they must know more or less his identity.

    5. is yi jen qing the highest form of internal strength of shaolin? how does it compare with the shaolin 72 shaolin techniques and bei ming shen gung and with other sects internal strength?

    6. how did the novel demi-god and semi devils end? according to the china version, ah zhi died and you tan zhi died also. is this accurate?

    7. this question has to do with the tin san tung lau and lee chiu sui. why didn' t the two take revenge for wu ya zhi? were they aware that seng sok loi gwai tried to kill wu ya zhi?

    8. what type of gung-fu is ' 8 huang 6 he'---this was the type of gung fu practiced by the tin san tung lau.

    9. what is the name of lee chiu sui's sister?

hope someone here will have the patience provide answers to the questions here.

the china series version is unique. and i was told it follows the novel quite accurately.

Note: My answers are from the 2nd Edition. In the 3rd edition, YTZ learnt Yoga. Ask Athena nicely for the 3rd edition answers.

    1. why did ah chu sneak into shaolin temple to steal the yi jen qing? how did she know where the manual was hidden.

She wanted to steal it for his master MRF.

    2. the manual was given by ah chu to siew feng. siew feng later dropped the manual and was picked up by you tan zhi or the iron head boy.
the iron head boy learnt the yi jen qing.
the question is this: the yi jen qing is a nei-gung (internal strength) manual, so where did you tan zhi learnt the gung-fu moves. according to the chona version of the series, it was ah zhi who taught him seng sok loi gwai sect gung-fu. is this accurate.

YTZ did not learnt any external techniques from the manual. He got his inner energy from it and it was further boosted by the poison from Ah Zhi's ice worm. All his external techniques were learnt from Ah Zhi. His techniques were lousy and only his great poisonous internal power and boosted reflexes made him dangerous.

    3. did the manual landed into the hands of jiu mor zhee? according to the china-series, jiu mor chee had the manul but in the end handed it to duan yu to take back to shaolin temple. is this accurate? if jiu mor zhee had the manual when did he take it from you tan zhi?

In a short and abrupt plot device, JY had JMZ chance upon YTZ at the exact moment where YTZ had a mild fire deviation. While YTZ was paralysed briefly, JMZ just took the manual and walked off. All done in the space of 1 paragraph.

    4. do the shaolin monks know the identity of the sweeper monk? in the china series version, the sweeper monk lectured siew yuan sun and mo rung bo in front of some senior monks. if this is the case, they must know more or less his identity.

He was just a janitor/sweeper in the background. They only realised his abilities after the MRB/XYS incident.

    5. is yi jen qing the highest form of internal strength of shaolin? how does it compare with the shaolin 72 shaolin techniques and bei ming shen gung and with other sects internal strength?

It reckoned by experts like MRB to be the top internal skill in wulin. I'd personally rather learn Bei Ming Shen Gong though.

    6. how did the novel demi-god and semi devils end? according to the china version, ah zhi died and you tan zhi died also. is this accurate?

    Yes.

    7. this question has to do with the tin san tung lau and lee chiu sui. why didn' t the two take revenge for wu ya zhi? were they aware that seng sok loi gwai tried to kill wu ya zhi?

They did not know he was crippled. They lost contact with him long ago before he was crippled. Besides, they were too busy trying to kill each other and they probably thought that if WYZ wanted to, he could have swatted DCQ like an insect anytime

    8. what type of gung-fu is ' 8 huang 6 he'---this was the type of gung fu practiced by the tin san tung lau.

No real description of its abilities except that TSTL thinks its pretty invincible. This skill is totally gone in 3rd edition.

    9. what is the name of lee chiu sui's sister?

    Never named.

hope someone here will have the patience provide answers to the questions here.

the china series version is unique. and i was told it follows the novel quite accurately.

Much more accurate then TVB but it still omits and modifies a lot of the stuff. e.g. There were 4 twins instead of 2 (Xu Zhu's maids) and Xiao Feng was present at the time DY and XZ went to Xixia.

    Default re: demi-gods and semi-devils

    humplewumps, thks for the reply.

by the way who is the founder of the vulturepeak sect (ling chao gung)? in the china version, it is implied that there was a founder and it was not tin san tung lau.
there is one brief part in the china version where xu zhu was brought to see the gung fu illustrations in the ling chao gung's walls. xu zhu was also told the portrait of the founder was also there and also the secret of the life andd death amulet.
later xu zhu used this secret knowledge to cure the men of 32 caves and 72 islands from the life and death amulets.

Ba huang liu he wei wo du zun gong is still present in the 3rd edition, just that JY renamed it to Tian Chang Di Jiu Chang Chun Bu Lao Gong. This is listed in Athena's sticky thread about 3rd edition changes. Before the 3rd edition this skill seemed to be all invincible, now it seems to be primarily more about preserving youthful looks than anything else.

It is still the same powerful skill as in edition 2, but now it has an extra youth preserving effect.

And all we need of hell.
