Bing Bing plays two different character in here one is Su Da Ji in the first part of the series is a good-natured girl who leaves her village to King Zhou's palace in order to protect her folks, the first part ends where the real Da Ji dies. The second one is a Da Ji possessed by the fox spirit. She's under command to destroy the kingdom of Zhou.

FBB has a very manipulated small face and that led people to think that she's skinny, but she is not, she's actually heavier than most of Chinese female celebrities these days, and in the eyes of those finicky extremist I'd encountered on some Chinese forum, she is fat in their eyes! Feng Sheng Bang is not a tear jerker at all, and i don't think this remake will be one either, it's just not a weepy type, but i'm still concerned about the script, hopefully the story will stand strong by itself ...

Fan Bingbing who'd just got back from filming commercials in Japan entered the set of Feng Sheng Bang in Heng Dian yesterday. Fan Bingbing expresses that the Da Ji she plays is no longer a cold-hearted and evil fox spirit, she's a good-natured person with love and pains.

One Da Ji, two roles

The upcoming Feng Sheng Bang has a total of 60 episodes and divided into 2 parts. Su Da Ji in the first part of the series is a good-natured girl who leaves her village to King Zhou's palace in order to protect her folks, the first part ends where the real Da Ji dies.

The second part begins with a Da Ji possessed by the fox spirit. She's under command to destroy the kingdom of Zhou, but hesitates facing a king who loves her with a passion. Struggles btw her obligation to Lu Wo and her love to the king, she eventually decides to face the demise and tragedy with the king she loves.

Although Su Da Ji and Fox Da Ji look exactly the same, but they are completely different characters. A human, a fox spirit and two tragedies, Da Ji in this series presents something new and fresh.

Da Ji was the cause of demise of the Zhou Kingdom in past version of the story, the new series sets aside the stereotype, portraits a new Da Ji from her inner world. Fan Bingbing applauds the remake, "It's unfair to name her the cause of Zhou's demise, the real cause is King Zhou himself," she says. She says it's Fox Da Ji's obligation to finish what she is sent to do, but people should not think of her as a beauty of mayhem (hong yan huo shui) because she betrays her goddess eventually and helps her king in defense of their country.

According to the source, Fan Bingbing was hesitate to take the offer initially worrying that the role would offend her fans. So the production company made some changes for her, reestablished the character from a simply villainess to become a real person with flesh and blood.

Director trusts Fan Bingbing

Playing two roles in a series is nothing new for Fan Bingbing who had been tested for many times, but this updated Da Ji is a brand new challenge to her. The story of Fox Da Ji is already very complicated, and there is Su Da Ji the originator. The director of this series, as well as the producer believe Fan Bingbing will succeed in playing this updated version, and reveal that they trust her acting in order to cast her.

Yea, it is true that the actual story actually isn't a tear jerker at all. There are some parts that made me sad, but I guess you wouldn't call it something that would make your tears drop....

This story is supposed to be filled with action. I just hope that the script will be good and that the changes aren't too dramatic. I hope the plot will still be strong.
